又說：『願永恆主給閃的帳棚祝福；願迦南作閃的奴僕。

又說：「耶和華——閃的神是當受頌讚的！願迦南作閃的奴僕。

又曰、閃之上帝耶和華、宜頌美焉、迦南為閃之僕、

又云、可頌美乎耶和華、閃之上帝、惟迦南必為僕、服役於閃。

又云、閃之天主當頌美、迦南必為其奴、

He also said,“ Praise be to the Lord, the God of Shem! May Canaan be the slave of Shem.

Noah also said,“ May the Lord, the God of Shem, be praised. May Canaan be the slave of Shem.

Afterward the families of the Canaanites were spread abroad.The border of the Canaanites was from Sidon— as you go toward Gerar— to Gaza— as you go toward Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboiim— to Lasha.These are the sons of Ham, after their families, according to their languages, in their lands and their nations.Children were also born to Shem( the elder brother of Japheth), the father of all the children of Eber.The sons of Shem were: Elam, Asshur, Arpachshad, Lud, and Aram.The sons of Aram were: Uz, Hul, Gether, and Mash.Arpachshad became the father of Shelah. Shelah became the father of Eber.To Eber were born two sons. The name of the one was Peleg, for in his days the earth was divided. His brother’s name was Joktan.Joktan became the father of Almodad, Sheleph, Hazarmaveth, Jerah,

Happy are the people who are in such a situation. Happy are the people whose God is Yahweh.

Isaac answered Esau,“ Behold, I have made him your lord, and all his brothers I have given to him for servants. I have sustained him with grain and new wine. What then will I do for you, my son?”

Now Yahweh said to Abram,“ Leave your country, and your relatives, and your father’s house, and go to the land that I will show you.I will make of you a great nation. I will bless you and make your name great. You will be a blessing.I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who treats you with contempt. All the families of the earth will be blessed through you.”

“ There is no one like God, Jeshurun, who rides on the heavens for your help, in his excellency on the skies.

But now they desire a better country, that is, a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed of them, to be called their God, for he has prepared a city for them.

You will live by your sword, and you will serve your brother. It will happen, when you will break loose, that you will shake his yoke from off your neck.”
