既然最終會有人進入安息，而那些從前聽過福音的人因為不信沒能進去，

既有必进安息的人，那先前听见福音的，因为不信从，不得进去。

所以，既然这安息为了一些进入它的人被保留下来，可是由于那些原先得以听到福音的人，因着不信从而没有进去，

既有這安息保留着讓一些人進入，那些先前聽見福音的人，因不信從而不得進去，

那麼這安息既保留着要給一部分人進入，而先前得聽福音傳給他們的人又因不信、而沒有進入，

所以，既然這安息為了一些進入它的人被保留下來，可是由於那些原先得以聽到福音的人，因著不信從而沒有進去，

既有宜入之人、而先聞福音者、因不順故不入、

然安息終必有人享之、而先聞嘉音者不信故不得享、

如是、必別有得享安息者、但先聞福音者、因不信故、而不得享、

可見後來者必有得入者焉。彼先聞慈音者之不得入、徒以執迷不悟故耳。

Therefore since it still remains for some to enter that rest, and since those who formerly had the good news proclaimed to them did not go in because of their disobedience,

It is still true that some people will enjoy this rest. But those who had the good news announced to them earlier didn’t go in. That’s because they didn’t obey.

Since therefore it remains for some to enter it, and those who formerly received the good news failed to enter because of disobedience,

So God’s rest is there for people to enter, but those who first heard this good news failed to enter because they disobeyed God.

Therefore, since it remains for some to enter it, and those who formerly received the good news did not enter because of disobedience,

Therefore, since it remains for some to enter it, and those who previously had good news preached to them failed to enter because of disobedience,

Since therefore it remains that some must enter it, and those to whom it was first preached did not enter because of disobedience,

Seeing therefore it remaineth that some should enter thereinto, and they to whom the good tidings were before preached failed to enter in because of disobedience,

所以，我告訴你們，將把上帝的國從你們那裡奪去，賜給結果子的人。

上帝起誓不准誰進入祂的安息呢？不就是那些不肯信從的人嗎？可見，他們不能進入上帝的安息是因為不信的緣故。

你們說你們的兒女會被擄去，但我要把他們帶到那裡，讓他們享有那片你們厭棄的土地。

我的選民必用你們的名字作咒詛，主耶和華必殺死你們，給祂的僕人另起名字。

保羅和巴拿巴毫不畏懼地說：「上帝的道本該先傳給你們，你們既然拒絕接受，認為自己不配得永生，我們現在就把這道傳給外族人。因為主這樣吩咐我們，『我已使你成為外族人的光，好把救恩帶到地極。』」

所以你們到街頭巷尾，把所有見到的人都請來。』奴僕到街上把遇到的人都請了來，好人壞人都有，大廳裡滿了客人。

因為我們和他們一樣聽到了福音，只是他們聽了道後沒有憑信心領受，結果沒有得到益處。

我要用瘟疫毀滅他們，不讓他們承受那片土地。但我要使你成為大國，比他們更強盛。」

聖經早就指明，上帝要叫外族人因信而被稱為義人，祂預先將福音傳給亞伯拉罕，說：「萬國必因你而蒙福。」

所以你們當知道，上帝的救恩已經傳給了外族人，他們也必聽。」

奴僕回來將這些話告訴主人，主人非常生氣，於是對奴僕說，『快出去到城裡的大街小巷把貧窮的、殘疾的、瘸腿的、瞎眼的都請來。』奴僕說，『主人啊，我照你的吩咐辦了，可是還有空位。』主人又說，『出去到大路上、籬笆旁硬把人拉來，讓我家裡座無虛席。我告訴你們，原來邀請的那些人沒有一個能嚐到我的宴席！』」

這樣說來，必定另有一個安息日為上帝的子民存留，使他們可以真正安歇。

弟兄們，我告訴你們，時日不多了，從今以後，那些有妻子的，要像沒有妻子的；
