彼所歸誠者、非至上之主、如弦絕弓反、口出妄言、諸牧伯亡於鋒刃、為埃及人姍笑。

彼所歸誠者、非至上之主、彼如已翻之弓、其侯伯殞亡於刃、因其口出狂言、必因此為伊及國之人所姍笑、

They do not turn to the Most High; they are like a faulty bow. Their leaders will fall by the sword because of their insolent words. For this they will be ridiculed in the land of Egypt.

I am the Most High God. But they do not turn to me. They are like a bow that does not shoot straight. Their leaders will be killed by swords. They will die because they have spoken too proudly. The people of Egypt will make fun of them.”

They look everywhere except to the Most High. They are as useless as a crooked bow. Their leaders will be killed by their enemies because of their insolence toward me. Then the people of Egypt will laugh at them.

反倒退后，行诡诈，像他们的祖宗一样；他们改变，如同翻背的弓。

主耶和华如此说：“你必喝你姐姐所喝的杯；那杯又深又广，盛得甚多，使你被人嗤笑讥刺。

看哪，他们逃避灾难；埃及人必收殓他们的尸首，摩弗人必葬埋他们的骸骨。他们用银子做的美物上必长蒺藜；他们的帐棚中必生荆棘。

他们曾说：“我们必能以舌头得胜；我们的嘴唇是我们自己的，谁能作我们的主呢？”

虽有这一切的事，她奸诈的妹妹犹大还不一心归向我，不过是假意归我。这是耶和华说的。”

“污鬼离了人身，就在无水之地过来过去，寻求安歇之处；既寻不着，便说：‘我要回到我所出来的屋里去。’到了，就看见里面打扫干净，修饰好了，便去另带了七个比自己更恶的鬼来，都进去住在那里。那人末后的景况比先前更不好了。”

我又告诉你们，凡人所说的闲话，当审判的日子，必要句句供出来；

我的性命在狮子中间；我躺卧在性如烈火的世人当中。他们的牙齿是枪、箭；他们的舌头是快刀。

耶路撒冷败落，犹大倾倒；因为他们的舌头和行为与耶和华反对，惹了他荣光的眼目。

因他们的心向他不正，在他的约上也不忠心。

我的民偏要背道离开我；众先知虽然招呼他们归向至上的主，却无人尊崇主。

主说：“以法莲哪，我可向你怎样行呢？犹大啊，我可向你怎样做呢？因为你们的良善如同早晨的云雾，又如速散的甘露。

因为那义人住在他们中间，看见听见他们不法的事，他的义心就天天伤痛。）

他们因离弃我，必定有祸；因违背我，必被毁灭。我虽要救赎他们，他们却向我说谎。

至于献给我的祭物，他们自食其肉，耶和华却不悦纳他们。现在必记念他们的罪孽，追讨他们的罪恶；他们必归回埃及。以色列忘记造他的主，建造宫殿；犹大多造坚固城，我却要降火焚烧他的城邑，烧灭其中的宫殿。”

他们到了所去的列国，就使我的圣名被亵渎；因为人谈论他们说，这是耶和华的民，是从耶和华的地出来的。

他们就说：“来吧！我们可以设计谋害耶利米；因为我们有祭司讲律法，智慧人设谋略，先知说预言，都不能断绝。来吧！我们可以用舌头击打他，不要理会他的一切话。”

又赐给它说夸大亵渎话的口，又有权柄赐给它，可以任意而行四十二个月。

那些在磐石上的，就是人听道，欢喜领受，但心中没有根，不过暂时相信，及至遇见试炼就退后了。

这样，舌头在百体里也是最小的，却能说大话。看哪，最小的火能点着最大的树林。

你的舌头邪恶诡诈，好像剃头刀，快利伤人。
