你喜愛公義，恨惡邪惡，所以，神，就是你的神，用喜樂的油膏抹你，勝過膏抹你的同伴。

然而你們是蒙揀選的族類，是君尊的祭司，是聖潔的國民，是屬神的子民，為要叫你們宣揚那召你們出黑暗入奇妙光明者的美德。

照樣，你們的光也應當照在人前，讓他們看見你們的好行為，又頌讚你們在天上的父。

照樣，好樹結好果子，壞樹結壞果子；好樹不能結壞果子，壞樹也不能結好果子。凡是不結好果子的樹，就被砍下來，丟在火中。

在我敵人面前，你為我擺設筵席；你用油膏了我的頭，使我的杯滿溢。

這些事以後，我觀看，見有一大群人，沒有人能數得過來，是從各邦國、各支派、各民族、各方言來的。他們都站在寶座和羊羔面前，身穿白袍，手裡拿著棕樹枝。他們大聲呼喊，說：“願救恩歸給那坐在寶座上我們的神，也歸給羊羔！”所有的天使都站在寶座、眾長老和四個活物的四周。他們在寶座前，面伏在地上敬拜神，說：“阿們！願頌讚、榮耀、智慧、感謝、尊貴、權能、力量，都歸給我們的神，直到永永遠遠。阿們！”長老中有一位問我：“這些身穿白袍的是誰？他們是從哪裡來的呢？”我對他說：“我主啊，你是知道的。”他告訴我：“這些人是從大患難中出來的。他們用羊羔的血，把自己的衣袍洗潔白了。

你的太陽必不再下落，你的月亮也必不退縮；因為耶和華要作你永遠的光，你悲哀的日子必要終止。你的人民都必成為義人，永遠得地為業；他們是我栽種的嫩芽，我手所作的工作，使我得榮耀。

義人必像棕樹一樣繁茂，像黎巴嫩的香柏樹一樣高聳。他們栽在耶和華的殿中，在我們神的院子裡繁茂生長。他們年老的時候仍要結果子，經常保持茂盛青翠，好顯明耶和華是正直的；他是我的磐石，在他裡面沒有不義。

靠著耶穌基督結滿了公義的果子，使神得著榮耀和讚美。

我又從你身旁經過，見你已經到了談情說愛的時候，我就用我的衣襟搭在你身上，遮蓋你赤裸的身體；我又向你起誓，與你立約，於是你就屬於我了。這是主耶和華的宣告。那時我用水洗你，洗淨你身上的血，又用油抹你。我使你身穿刺繡的衣裳，腳穿海狗皮鞋；用細麻布給你裹頭；又用絲綢給你披在身上。我用珠寶給你打扮，把手環戴在你手上，把項鍊戴在你頸上，又把鼻環戴在你鼻子上，把耳環戴在你耳朵上，把美麗的冠冕戴在你頭上。這樣你就有了金銀的裝飾，你穿的是細麻、絲綢和刺繡的衣服；你吃的是細麵、蜂蜜和油；你實在非常美麗，配登王后的位。

你們要是為基督的名受辱罵，就有福了！因為神榮耀的靈，住在你們身上。

因為你們是用重價買來的。所以你們務要用自己的身體榮耀神。

我說：“你們要把潔淨的冠冕戴在他的頭上。”他們就把潔淨的冠冕戴在他的頭上，又給他穿上華美的衣服。那時，耶和華的使者正在旁邊站著。

又有酒使人心歡喜，有油使人容光煥發，有糧加添人的心力。

末底改穿著紫藍色和白色的朝服，戴著碩大的金冠冕，又披上紫色細麻布的外袍，從王面前出來；書珊城的人都歡呼快樂。

這樣，你們結出很多果子，我父就因此得榮耀，你們也就是我的門徒了。

以這月的兩日，為猶大人脫離仇敵，得享安寧的日子，是轉憂為喜，轉哀為樂的吉日，叫他們在這兩日飲宴歡樂，大家互贈禮物，也賙濟窮人。

到那日，你必說：“耶和華啊！我要稱謝你，因為你雖曾向我發怒，你的怒氣卻已轉消，你又安慰了我。

你們要互相接待，不發怨言。你們要作神各樣恩賜的好管家，各人照著所領受的恩賜彼此服事。講道的，應當按著神的聖言講；服事的，應當按著神所賜的力量服事，為要在一切事上，使神藉耶穌基督得榮耀。榮耀、權能都是他的，直到永永遠遠。阿們。

父親卻吩咐僕人說：‘快把那最好的袍子拿來給他穿，把戒指戴在他手上，把鞋穿在他腳上，

末底改知道了發生的一切事，就撕裂自己的衣服，披上麻衣，撒上灰塵，出到城中，大聲痛哭地呼叫。他到了御門前，就停住，因為身穿麻衣的，不可以進御門。王的諭旨和命令傳到的各省各地，猶大人都大大悲哀，禁食、哭泣、悲傷；許多人披上麻衣，躺在灰塵中。
