( 64: 1) As when fire ignites dry wood, or fire makes water boil, let your adversaries know who you are, and may the nations shake at your presence!

As when fire sets twigs ablaze and causes water to boil, come down to make your name known to your enemies and cause the nations to quake before you!

Be like a fire that causes twigs to burn. It also makes water boil. So come down and make yourself known to your enemies. Cause the nations to shake with fear when they see your power!

as when fire kindles brushwood and the fire causes water to boil— to make your name known to your adversaries, and that the nations might tremble at your presence!

As fire causes wood to burn and water to boil, your coming would make the nations tremble. Then your enemies would learn the reason for your fame!

The LORD reigns! The nations tremble. He sits enthroned above the winged angels; the earth shakes.

All the nations will hear about all the good things which I will do to them. This city will bring me fame, honor, and praise before them for the joy that I bring it. The nations will tremble in awe at all the peace and prosperity that I will provide for it.’

“ You should fear me!” says the LORD.“ You should tremble in awe before me! I made the sand to be a boundary for the sea, a permanent barrier that it can never cross. Its waves may roll, but they can never prevail. They may roar, but they can never cross beyond that boundary.”

the one who made his majestic power available to Moses, who divided the water before them, gaining for himself a lasting reputation,

This very day the LORD will deliver you into my hand! I will strike you down and cut off your head. This day I will give the corpses of the Philistine army to the birds of the sky and the wild animals of the land. Then all the land will realize that Israel has a Godand all this assembly will know that it is not by sword or spear that the LORD saves! For the battle is the LORD’s, and he will deliver you into our hand.”

May God show us his favor and bless us! May he smile on us!( Selah)Then those living on earth will know what you are like; all nations will know how you deliver your people.

For look, the kings assemble; they advance together.As soon as they see, they are shocked; they are terrified, they quickly retreat.Look at them shake uncontrollably, like a woman writhing in childbirth.

The nations will respect the reputation of the LORD, and all the kings of the earth will respect his splendor,when the LORD rebuilds Zion, and reveals his splendor,

The nations will hear and tremble; anguish will seize the inhabitants of Philistia.Then the chiefs of Edom will be terrified, trembling will seize the leaders of Moab, and the inhabitants of Canaan will shake.Fear and dread will fall on them; by the greatness of your arm they will be as still as stone until your people pass by, O LORD, until the people whom you have bought pass by.

He says,“ Stop your striving and recognize that I am God! I will be exalted over the nations! I will be exalted over the earth!”

This very day I will begin to fill all the people of the earth with dread and to terrify them when they hear about you. They will shiver and shake in anticipation of your approach.”

Yet he delivered them for the sake of his reputation, that he might reveal his power.

O my God, make them like dead thistles, like dead weeds blown away by the wind!

Why should the nations say,“ Where is their God?” Before our very eyes may the shed blood of your servants be avenged among the nations!

When I have brought them back from the peoples and gathered them from the countries of their enemies, I will magnify myself among them in the sight of many nations.Then they will know that I am the LORD their God, because I sent them into exile among the nations, and then gathered them into their own land. I will not leave any of them in exile any longer.

“ Foreigners, who do not belong to your people Israel, will come from a distant land because of your reputation.When they hear about your great reputation and your ability to accomplish mighty deeds, they will come and direct their prayers toward this temple.Then listen from your heavenly dwelling place and answer all the prayers of the foreigners. Then all the nations of the earth will acknowledge your reputation, obey you like your people Israel do, and recognize that this temple I built belongs to you.

I will judge him with plague and bloodshed. I will rain down on him, his troops and the many peoples who are with him a torrential downpour, hailstones, fire, and brimstone.I will exalt and magnify myself; I will reveal myself before many nations. Then they will know that I am the LORD.’

But after three and a half days a breath of life from God entered them, and they stood on their feet, and tremendous fear seized those who were watching them.Then they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them:“ Come up here!” So the two prophets went up to heaven in a cloud while their enemies stared at them.Just then a major earthquake took place and a tenth of the city collapsed; seven thousand people were killed in the earthquake, and the rest were terrified and gave glory to the God of heaven.

You will be driven from human society, and you will live with the wild animals. You will be fed grass like oxen, and seven periods of time will pass by for you before you understand that the Most High is ruler over human kingdoms and gives them to whomever he wishes.”Now in that very moment this pronouncement about Nebuchadnezzar came true. He was driven from human society, he ate grass like oxen, and his body became damp with the dew of the sky, until his hair became long like an eagle’s feathers, and his nails like a bird’s claws.But at the end of the appointed time I, Nebuchadnezzar, looked up toward heaven, and my sanity returned to me. I extolled the Most High, and I praised and glorified the one who lives forever. For his authority is an everlasting authority, and his kingdom extends from one generation to the next.All the inhabitants of the earth are regarded as nothing. He does as he wishes with the army of heaven and with those who inhabit the earth. No one slaps his hand and says to him,‘ What have you done?’At that time my sanity returned to me. I was restored to the honor of my kingdom, and my splendor returned to me. My ministers and my nobles were seeking me out, and I was reinstated over my kingdom. I became even greater than before.Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and exalt and glorify the King of heaven, for all his deeds are right and his ways are just. He is able to bring down those who live in pride.

Terrify them, LORD! Let the nations know they are mere mortals!( Selah)

Sing to the LORD a new song, for he performs amazing deeds! His right hand and his mighty arm accomplish deliverance.The LORD demonstrates his power to deliver; in the sight of the nations he reveals his justice.

( 3: 31)“ King Nebuchadnezzar, to all peoples, nations, and language groups that live in all the land: Peace and prosperity!I am delighted to tell you about the signs and wonders that the most high God has done for me.“ How great are his signs! How mighty are his wonders! His kingdom will last forever, and his authority continues from one generation to the next.”

Now, O LORD our God, rescue us from his power, so all the kingdoms of the earth may know that you alone are the LORD.”

Then King Darius wrote to all the peoples, nations, and language groups who were living in all the land:“ Peace and prosperity!I have issued an edict that throughout all the dominion of my kingdom people are to revere and fear the God of Daniel.“ For he is the living God; he endures forever. His kingdom will not be destroyed; his authority is forever.He rescues and delivers and performs signs and wonders in the heavens and on the earth. He has rescued Daniel from the power of the lions!”

“ As in the days when you departed from the land of Egypt, I will show you miraculous deeds.”Nations will see this and be disappointed by all their strength, they will put their hands over their mouths, and act as if they were deaf.They will lick the dust like a snake, like serpents crawling on the ground. They will come trembling from their strongholds to the LORD our God; they will be terrified of you.

I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and he will chase after them. I will gain honor because of Pharaoh and because of all his army, and the Egyptians will know that I am the LORD.” So this is what they did.

The LORD roars from Zion; from Jerusalem his voice bellows out. The heavens and the earth shake. But the LORD is a refuge for his people; he is a stronghold for the citizens of Israel.You will be convinced that I the LORD am your God, dwelling on Zion, my holy mountain. Jerusalem will be holy– conquering armies will no longer pass through it.
