可見其信與行同工、且信由行而成全、

厥行即信之功效、而信以之全備、

爾可見信乃助其行、且信由行而得全備也、

You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did.

So you see that what he believed and what he did were working together. What he did made his faith complete.

You see that faith was active along with his works, and faith was completed by his works;

蓋爾等信而有行、愛而能勞、仰望吾主耶穌基督、確乎不拔、故在天主聖父之前、時切馳思、不能自已、

在基督道中、受割與否、無關宏旨、亦惟興於仁而立於信而已矣。

且當亞伯漢之見試也、毅然以依灑格為獻夫彼乃承受恩諾之人也；天主曾謂之曰：『依灑格當為爾後裔之根。至此竟肯慨然奉獻其唯一嫡子者、亦信德之力也。蓋彼認天主為全能、即令起死回生、亦意中事；故得收回依灑格、而為後事之前影焉。

惟篤踐其道者、方能切身體認天主之愛德、漸達圓融純熟之境、此亦所以證吾人實與天主相契也。

吾人苟能涵養愛德、使臻於圓融純熟之境、則吾人對於審判之日、可以泰然無憂矣。何則、吾人在世克肖天主具體而微也。愛德之中、不含憂懼、愛德純熟、憂懼自消。心懷憂懼、鰓鰓畏刑、坐愛德未熟之故耳。

人將謂爾曰：『爾有信、我有行；惟爾示我以無行之信、而我將示爾以行、用徵吾信。
