We all stumble in many ways. Anyone who is never at fault in what they say is perfect, able to keep their whole body in check.

All of us get tripped up in many ways. Suppose someone is never wrong in what they say. Then they are perfect. They are able to keep their whole body under control.

For we all stumble in many ways. And if anyone does not stumble in what he says, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle his whole body.

如果有人自以為虔誠，卻不勒住自己的舌頭，就等於是自己欺騙自己，他的所謂虔誠也毫無價值。

說話謹慎，可保性命；口無遮攔，自取滅亡。

因為聖經上說：「若有人熱愛生命，渴望幸福，就要舌頭不出惡言，嘴唇不說詭詐的話。

因為將來要憑你口中的話來判斷你是否有罪。」

同樣，人的舌頭雖然很小，卻能說誇大的話。看啊，小火星能點燃大森林。舌頭就是火，是我們身體上的一個充滿邪惡的世界，能玷污人的全身，足以毀掉人的一生，它是從地獄點燃的火。

「世上沒有不犯罪的人，如果你的子民得罪你，以致你向他們發怒，讓敵人把他們擄走，不論遠近，

你們要堅忍到底，使你們纯全、完備、毫無缺欠。

但聖經說所有的人都在罪的權勢下，爲要使那些相信的人因爲相信耶穌基督而得到應許。

誠然，在地上無法找到一個一生行善、從未犯罪的義人。

正如聖經上說：「沒有義人，一個也沒有，

就要舌頭不出惡言，嘴唇不說詭詐的話。

誰敢說：「我心靈潔淨，純潔無罪？」

因此，我發現一個律：我想行善的時候，惡就不放過我。

我嚴格訓練自己，克服自身的軟弱，免得我傳福音給別人，自己卻被淘汰了。

我們的善行不過像骯髒的衣服，我們都像污穢的人，像漸漸枯乾的葉子，我們的罪惡像風一樣把我們吹去。

我們傳揚基督，用各樣的智慧勸誡、教導眾人，使他們在基督裡長大成熟，好把他們帶到上帝面前。

「世上沒有不犯罪的人，如果你的子民得罪你，以致你向他們發怒，讓敵人把他們擄走，不論遠近，

因為人罪惡本性的私慾與聖靈作對，聖靈也與罪惡本性的私慾作對，兩者勢不兩立，使你們不能做自己想做的事。

人只要觸犯律法中的一條，就等於違犯了全部，

在各樣善事上成全你們，好使你們遵行祂的旨意，並藉著主耶穌在你們心中動工，使你們做祂喜悅的事！願榮耀歸給上帝，直到永永遠遠。阿們！
