The Israelites went up seeking direction from the Lord.( In those days the Ark of the Covenant of God was in Bethel,

And the children of Israel asked of Jehovah( for the ark of the covenant of God was there in those days,

Then the Israelites inquired of the Lord. In those days, the ark of the covenant of God was there,

And the children of Israel enquired of the LORD,( for the ark of the covenant of God[ was] there in those days,

The Israelites asked the LORD( for the ark of God’s covenant was there in those days;

The children of Israel asked Yahweh( for the ark of the covenant of God was there in those days,

以色列的全会众都聚集在示罗，把会幕设立在那里，那地已经被他们制伏了。 (cunps)

百姓回到营里，以色列的长老说：“耶和华今日为何使我们败在非利士人面前呢？我们不如将耶和华的约柜从示罗抬到我们这里来，好在我们中间救我们脱离敌人的手。”于是百姓打发人到示罗，从那里将坐在二基路伯上万军之耶和华的约柜抬来。以利的两个儿子何弗尼、非尼哈与神的约柜同来。 (cunps)

以色列人就起来，到伯特利去求问神说：“我们中间谁当首先上去与便雅悯人争战呢？”耶和华说：“犹大当先上去。” (cunps)

甚至他离弃示罗的帐幕，就是他在人间所搭的帐棚；又将他的约柜交与人掳去，将他的荣耀交在敌人手中； (cunps)

你们且往示罗去，就是我先前立为我名的居所，察看我因这百姓以色列的罪恶向那地所行的如何。” (cunps)

耶和华的膀臂并非缩短，不能拯救，耳朵并非发沉，不能听见， (cunps)

未摆阵之先，以色列人上去，在耶和华面前哭号，直到晚上，求问耶和华说：“我们再去与我们弟兄便雅悯人打仗可以不可以？”耶和华说：“可以上去攻击他们。” (cunps)

他要站在祭司以利亚撒面前；以利亚撒要凭乌陵的判断，在耶和华面前为他求问。他和以色列全会众都要遵以利亚撒的命出入。” (cunps)
