予既以吾父聖道授之、而世乃疾之如讎、以其不屬乎世、正如予之不屬乎世也。予非求父令其脫世、第求保其湼而不緇。若輩不屬於世、正如予之不屬於世也。

爾未擇予、而予擇爾、且命爾進而結實、長保厥實。如此、則爾因我名以求於父者、莫不見賜。

天主於創世以前、夙在基督之身、予吾人以恩簡、俾吾人得成聖潔無瑕、對越所天。蓋天主秉其仁慈、隨其意之所悅預定吾人緣耶穌基督、得為天主之眾嗣、且沐以芳澤、俾克配其愛子；此乃所以彰其大德也、吾人托庇聖子、仰賴寶血、得蒙拯贖、滌除夙穢；實憑天主之豐恩厚澤。吾人之靈心、既飽霑恩澤、於是暢茂條達、發為妙慧卓識、使吾人得領略其意旨之玄奧。蓋天主夙已從心所欲、預定聖謨；時既成熟、乃予以實現、俾天地萬有、在基督之身、合為一體、而統於一尊。蓋吾人之得因基督而倖成天主之眾嗣者、實由淵然深識、匠心獨運之天主所預定

與世俗同流合污、聽命於塵氛中之魔王。魔王者、即至今猶在悖逆心中活動之邪神也。吾輩過去亦在悖逆之列、縱情恣慾、為所欲為、原屬觸怒之子、與外邦人為一丘之貉。然富於慈悲之天主、按其愛人之大德、緣基督之偉功、拔吾人於罪中、起吾人於已死、俾吾人得與基督同享生命；

蓋吾人從前亦昏昧悖逆、徬徨岐途、縱情恣慾、險狠媢嫉；己實可惡、而轉以惡人。惟吾救主天主大發慈悲、不視人之行為、一惟彼之仁愛、藉重生之洗禮、賜吾人以救拔；因聖神之妙工、予吾人以復新。而天主之所以沛然以聖神傾注於吾人之心者、實以我救主耶穌基督之功。吾人托其恩澤、乃得免罪復義、而承嗣永生之望焉。

而爾等則為蒙選之族、赫赫司祭、雍雍神國實天主之眷屬也。天主既召爾等出於黑暗入於靈光、爾等可不表彰大德乎。爾等昔日不成民族、今乃成為天主之民矣；昔日未蒙矜憐、今則已蒙矜憐矣。親愛之同道乎、人生在世、猶如作客他鄉、務望自愛、切弗縱情恣慾、以戕賊心靈。爾等與異邦人雜處、尤宜慎自檢點、勉立善表、務使謗爾者見爾善行、而頌揚天主於眷顧之日。

若夫以愛答愛、何惠之有？即罪人亦知以愛答愛也。

夫過去之日、與世俗同流合污、放縱恣肆、沈湎酒色、崇拜偶像、不已足乎？

千秋之期既滿、沙殫又將被釋出獄、熒惑四方邦國、慫慂高谷及馬高各動員作戰、數如海濱之沙、橫行天下、包圍眾聖之營、及蒙寵之城。乃有火、自天而降、吞滅群逆；

龍憾婦滋甚、遂與婦之餘裔挑釁；餘裔者、即遵守天主之誡命、而堅信耶穌之證言者是已。

於是巨龍下墜；巨龍者、即古時、之蛇、名曰妖魔、沙殫、熒惑全世者是；彼與其天神、俱被逐至地。
