人若不常在我里面，就像枝子被丢在外面，枯干了，人捡起来，扔进火里烧了。

他们宣称认识神，却在行为上否认他；他们是可憎恶的，是悖逆的，不配做任何好事。

耶稣就对树说：“从今以后，永没有人吃你的果子。”他的门徒都听到了。

不义的，让他仍旧不义；污秽的，让他仍旧污秽；为义的，让他仍旧为义；圣洁的，让他仍旧圣洁。”

于是，耶稣用比喻说：“有一个人在葡萄园里栽了一棵无花果树。他前来在树上找果子，却找不到，就对园丁说：‘看哪，我这三年来到这棵无花果树前找果子，竟找不到。把它砍了吧，何必白占土地呢？’园丁回答：‘主啊，今年且留着，等我在树周围掘开土，加上肥料，以后若结果子便罢，不然再把它砍了。’”

现在斧子已经放在树根上，凡不结好果子的树就砍下来，丢在火里。”

我为我葡萄园所做的之外，还有什么可做的呢？我指望它结葡萄，怎么倒结了野葡萄呢？现在我告诉你们，我要向我的葡萄园怎么做。我必撤去篱笆，使它被烧毁；拆毁围墙，使它被践踏。

这样的人是你们爱筵上的污点；他们无所惧怕地同你们宴乐，仿佛牧人只顾喂饱自己。他们是无雨的浮云，被风飘荡；是秋天没有果子的树，死而又死，连根被拔出来；

就如一块田地吸收过屡次下的雨水，生长蔬菜，合乎耕种的人用，就从神得福。这块田地若长荆棘和蒺藜，必被废弃，近于诅咒，结局就是焚烧。

凡属我不结果子的枝子，他就剪掉；凡结果子的，他就修剪干净，使枝子结果子更多。

倘若他们因认识我们的主和救主耶稣基督而得以脱离世上的污秽，后来又被污秽缠住，被制伏，他们末后的景况就比先前更不好了。他们知道义路，竟背弃了传授给他们那神圣的诫命，倒不如不知道为妙。俗语说得好，这话正印证在他们身上了：“狗转过来吃自己所吐的；”又说：“猪洗净了，又回到烂泥里打滚。”

有敬虔的外貌，却背弃了敬虔的实质，这等人你要避开。

说：“但愿你在这日子知道有关你平安的事，不过这事现在是隐藏的，你的眼睛看不出来。因为日子将到，你的仇敌要筑起土垒包围你，四面困住你，并要消灭你和你里头的儿女，连一块石头也不留在另一块石头上，因为你不知道你蒙眷顾的时候。”
