惟爾祈禱、宜入密室閉門、祈爾隱中之父、爾父鑒於隱者、將以報爾、

翌日、行將近邑、時約午正、彼得升屋祈禱、

雅各獨留、遇一人與之角力、迄於黎明、相角之時、其人自知不勝、觸雅各髀傷之、曰、容我去、天明矣、曰、不為我祝嘏、必不容爾去、曰爾何名、曰、雅各、曰、今而後、爾不復名雅各、當名以色列、蓋爾與上帝及人較量、而獲勝也、雅各曰、請以爾名告我、曰、曷問我名、遂在彼為之祝嘏、

蓋依形軀者、志乎形軀之事、依神者、志乎神之事、

緣此、我屈膝於父前、

哥尼流曰、前四日此時、我在室、守申初之祈禱、見一人衣服皎然、立於前、

俾爾之施濟隱焉、爾父鑒於隱者、將以報爾、○

耶穌曰、勿捫我、以我尚未升至父、惟往語我兄弟云、我升至我父、亦爾父、我上帝、亦爾上帝、

拿但業曰、何由知我乎、曰、腓力未呼爾、爾在無花果樹下、我已見之矣、
