O[ thou that art] named the house of Jacob, is the spirit of the LORD straitened?[ are] these his doings? do not my words do good to him that walketh uprightly?

雅各家啊，岂可说耶和华的心不忍耐吗？这些事是他所行的吗？我耶和华的言语岂不是与行动正直的人有益吗？

雅各家啊，可这么说吗？耶和华没有耐心吗？这些事是他所行的吗？我的言语岂不是与行动正直的人有益吗？

雅各家啊，你们怎能说：“耶和华已经不耐烦了吗？祂会做这些事吗？”“我的话岂不有益于行为正直的人吗？

雅各家歟、豈可曰耶和華之神褊急乎、此事豈彼所為、我言非有益於正行者乎、

吁哉、爾雅各之家、何出此言、耶和華之神、豈不甚盛、斯災豈耶和華所常行乎、為義之人、必以我言為有益、

雅各族歟、豈可言主易於震怒乎、或作爾稱為雅各族者歟主豈不含忍乎斯事豈主所常行乎、主曾言、我言必於行正直者有益、

You descendants of Jacob, should it be said,“ Does the Lord become impatient? Does he do such things?”“ Do not my words do good to the one whose ways are upright?

People of Jacob, should anyone say,“ The Lord is patient, so he wouldn’t do things like that”? The Lord replies,“ What I promise brings good things to those who lead honest lives.

Should this be said, O house of Jacob? Has the Lord grown impatient? Are these his deeds? Do not my words do good to him who walks uprightly?

Should you talk that way, O family of Israel? Will the Lord’s Spirit have patience with such behavior? If you would do what is right, you would find my words comforting.

House of Jacob, should it be asked,“ Is the Spirit of the LORD impatient? Are these the things he does?” Don’t my words bring good to the one who walks uprightly?

Is it being said, house of Jacob:‘ Is the Spirit of the Lord impatient? Are these His works?’ Do My words not do good For the one walking rightly?

You who are named the house of Jacob:“ Is the Spirit of the Lord restricted? Are these His doings? Do not My words do good To him who walks uprightly?

Shall it be said, O house of Jacob, Is the Spirit of Jehovah straitened? are these his doings? Do not my words do good to him that walketh uprightly?

House of Jacob, should it be asked,“ Is the Spirit of the Lord impatient? Are these the things He does?” Don’t My words bring good to the one who walks uprightly?

Does the family of Jacob say,‘ The LORD’s patience can’t be exhausted– he would never do such things’? To be sure, my commands bring a reward for those who obey them,

Shall it be said, O house of Jacob:“ Is Yahweh’s Spirit angry? Are these his doings? Don’t my words do good to him who walks blamelessly?”

For the LORD God[ is] a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good[ thing] will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.

He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart.

Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts.

Wherefore, when I came,[ was there] no man? when I called,[ was there] none to answer? Is my hand shortened at all, that it cannot redeem? or have I no power to deliver? behold, at my rebuke I dry up the sea, I make the rivers a wilderness: their fish stinketh, because[ there is] no water, and dieth for thirst.

They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham’s children, ye would do the works of Abraham.

Ye are not straitened in us, but ye are straitened in your own bowels.

Hear ye this, O house of Jacob, which are called by the name of Israel, and are come forth out of the waters of Judah, which swear by the name of the LORD, and make mention of the God of Israel,[ but] not in truth, nor in righteousness.For they call themselves of the holy city, and stay themselves upon the God of Israel; The LORD of hosts[ is] his name.

I have more understanding than all my teachers: for thy testimonies[ are] my meditation.I understand more than the ancients, because I keep thy precepts.I have refrained my feet from every evil way, that I might keep thy word.I have not departed from thy judgments: for thou hast taught me.How sweet are thy words unto my taste![ yea, sweeter] than honey to my mouth!

Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This[ is] the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.

Hear this, I pray you, ye heads of the house of Jacob, and princes of the house of Israel, that abhor judgment, and pervert all equity.

For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither[ is that] circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:But he[ is] a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision[ is that] of the heart, in the spirit,[ and] not in the letter; whose praise[ is] not of men, but of God.

The way of the LORD[ is] strength to the upright: but destruction[ shall be] to the workers of iniquity.

Behold, the LORD’S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid[ his] face from you, that he will not hear.

Whoso walketh uprightly shall be saved: but[ he that is] perverse[ in his] ways shall fall at once.

Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins.

The law of the LORD[ is] perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD[ is] sure, making wise the simple.The statutes of the LORD[ are] right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD[ is] pure, enlightening the eyes.The fear of the LORD[ is] clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD[ are] true[ and] righteous altogether.More to be desired[ are they] than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.Moreover by them is thy servant warned:[ and] in keeping of them[ there is] great reward.

He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous:[ he is] a buckler to them that walk uprightly.

Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

He that walketh uprightly walketh surely: but he that perverteth his ways shall be known.

Who[ is] wise, and he shall understand these[ things]? prudent, and he shall know them? for the ways of the LORD[ are] right, and the just shall walk in them: but the transgressors shall fall therein.

And the LORD said unto Moses, Is the LORD’S hand waxed short? thou shalt see now whether my word shall come to pass unto thee or not.

Their heart is as fat as grease;[ but] I delight in thy law.[ It is] good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might learn thy statutes.

He that walketh in his uprightness feareth the LORD: but[ he that is] perverse in his ways despiseth him.

Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they[ are] not all Israel, which are of Israel:Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham,[ are they] all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called.That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these[ are] not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed.For this[ is] the word of promise, At this time will I come, and Sara shall have a son.And not only[ this]; but when Rebecca also had conceived by one,[ even] by our father Isaac;( For[ the children] being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth;)It was said unto her, The elder shall serve the younger.As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.

Hear ye the word of the LORD, O house of Jacob, and all the families of the house of Israel:

TETH. Thou hast dealt well with thy servant, O LORD, according unto thy word.

Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful.

Unless thy law[ had been] my delights, I should then have perished in mine affliction.I will never forget thy precepts: for with them thou hast quickened me.

Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance:
