Jesus looked at him and loved him.“ One thing you lack,” he said.“ Go, sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”

Looking at the man, Jesus felt genuine love for him.“ There is still one thing you haven’t done,” he told him.“ Go and sell all your possessions and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”

Then Jesus, looking at him, loved him, and said to him,“ One thing you lack: Go your way, sell whatever you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, take up the cross, and follow Me.”

And Jesus looking upon him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.

Then, looking at him, Jesus loved him and said to him,“ You lack one thing: Go, sell all you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow Me.”

Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me.

As Jesus looked at him, he felt love for him and said,“ You lack one thing. Go, sell whatever you have and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”

Jesus looking at him loved him, and said to him,“ One thing you lack. Go, sell whatever you have, and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me, taking up the cross.”

於是耶穌對門徒說：「如果有人要跟從我，就應當捨己，背起他的十字架跟從我。

他們把田產家業變賣了，按照各人的需要把錢分給大家。

人只要觸犯律法中的一條，就等於違犯了全部，

要變賣你們的家產去賙濟窮人，要為自己預備永不破損的錢袋，在天上積攢取之不盡的財寶，那裡沒有賊偷，也沒有蟲蛀。

但有一件事我要責備你，就是你把起初的愛心丟棄了。

你要勸誡那些今世富足的人不要高傲，也不要冀望於靠不住的錢財，要信靠將萬物厚賜給我們享用的上帝。你要勸他們多多行善、慷慨施捨、樂意助人。這樣，他們可以為自己的將來奠定美好的基礎，以便持守真正的生命。

不過有幾件事我要責備你，你那裡有人隨從巴蘭的教導。這巴蘭從前教巴勒在以色列人面前佈下網羅，使他們吃祭過偶像的食物、犯淫亂的罪。

為了你們的靈魂，我甘願付出，包括自己的生命。難道我越愛你們，就越得不到你們的愛嗎？

可是有一件事我要責備你，就是你容許那自稱是先知的婦人耶洗別教導我的眾奴僕，引誘他們淫亂、吃祭過偶像的食物。

耶穌告訴他：「如果你想做到純全，就去變賣所有的產業，送給窮人，你就必有財寶存在天上，然後你來跟從我。」

你們體恤那些坐牢的人，即使你們的家業被搶奪，仍然甘心忍受，因為你們知道自己有更美的、永遠長存的家業。

可以承受那不會朽壞、沒有污點、不會衰殘、為你們存留在天上的產業。你們這些因信而蒙上帝用大能保守的人，必能得到那已經預備好、在末世要顯明的救恩。

其實最要緊的事只有一件，瑪麗亞選擇了上好的，是奪不走的。」

「不要為自己在世上積攢財寶，世上有蟲子咬，會生銹，又有賊闖進來偷。你們要把財寶積攢在天上，天上沒有蟲子咬，不會生銹，也沒有賊闖進來偷。要知道，你的財寶在哪裡，你的心也在哪裡。

祂叫眾人和門徒一起過來，對他們說：「如果有人要跟從我，就應當捨己，背起他的十字架跟從我。

誰要事奉我，就要跟從我。我在哪裡，事奉我的人也要在哪裡。我父必尊重事奉我的人。

耶穌又教導眾人說：「如果有人要跟從我，就應當捨己，天天背起他的十字架跟從我。

「天國就像藏在地裡的寶貝，有人發現了，就把它埋好，然後歡然變賣他所有的財產去買那塊地。「天國就像一個四處搜購貴重珍珠的商人。他找到一顆極貴重的珍珠，就變賣了一切的產業，把它買下來。

既然我們是兒女，就是繼承人，是上帝的後嗣，並且與基督同作後嗣。所以，如果現在我們和基督一同受苦，將來也必和祂一同得榮耀。我認為現在所受的痛苦與將來要顯給我們的榮耀相比，簡直微不足道。

「我告訴你們，要善用今世的錢財，廣結朋友。這樣，當錢財不管用時，他們會接你們到永遠的居所。

耶穌聽了就對他說：「你還有一件事沒有做，就是變賣你所有的產業，分給窮人，你必有財寶存在天上，然後你還要來跟從我。」

耶穌快到耶路撒冷時，看見那城就哀哭，

其實凡立志在基督耶穌裡過敬虔生活的人都會受到迫害。

要買真理、智慧、教誨和悟性，不可賣掉。

祂說：「他們的確是我的子民，不會背叛我。」因此，祂做他們的救主。祂苦他們所苦，親自拯救他們。祂本著慈愛和憐憫救贖了他們，自古以來一直扶持、照顧他們。他們卻叛逆，使祂的聖靈憂傷。於是，祂與他們為敵，親自攻擊他們。

我把這些事告訴你們，是要叫你們在我裡面有平安。你們在世上會有苦難，但你們要放心，我已經勝過這個世界。」

信徒都一無所缺，因為大家賣掉房屋田產，把所得的錢交給使徒，照各人的需要分配給各人。有個生在塞浦路斯的利未人名叫約瑟，使徒叫他巴拿巴，意思是勸慰者。他賣掉自己的一塊田，把賣得的錢交給了使徒。

示劍毫不遲延地照辦，因為他熱戀底娜。在哈抹家族中，他最受人尊重。
