倚仗財勢者必衰敗，義人必興旺如綠葉。

你們這些富有的人啊！為那將要臨到你們身上的災難痛哭哀號吧！你們的財物朽壞了，衣服也被蟲蛀了。你們的金銀生了鏽，那鏽必要指控你們，像火一樣吞噬你們的身體。在末世的日子裡，你們只知道積攢財寶。

你要勸誡那些今世富足的人不要高傲，也不要冀望於靠不住的錢財，要信靠將萬物厚賜給我們享用的上帝。

「看啊，這就是不依靠上帝的人，他只倚仗自己的財富和以殘暴手段獲得的權勢。」

你說，我很富有，已經發了財，什麼都不缺。你卻不知道自己困苦、可憐、貧窮、瞎眼、赤身露體。

孩子們，我與你們同在的時間不多了，以後你們要找我，但我去的地方，你們不能去。這句話我以前對猶太人說過，現在也照樣告訴你們。

「為自己的家積蓄不義之財、在高處搭窩躲避災禍的人啊，你們有禍了！

你憑智慧和頭腦發了財，金銀裝滿了你的庫房。你靠高超的經商本領使財富大增，因而變得心高氣傲。

錢財眨眼之間消逝無蹤，它必長出翅膀如鷹飛去。

耶和華說：「智者不要誇耀自己的智慧，勇士不要誇耀自己的力量，富人不要誇耀自己的財富。

法利賽人向來貪財，他們一面聽一面嗤笑耶穌。

耶穌對他們說：「孩子們，打到魚沒有？」他們回答說：「沒有！」

門徒聽了，驚奇地問：「這樣，誰能得救呢？」

耶穌又講了一個比喻，說：「有一個富翁，他的田裡大豐收，於是心裡盤算，『我儲藏農產的地方不夠了，怎麼辦呢？』於是他說，『不如把原有的倉庫拆掉，建幾座更大的，好儲藏我所有的糧食和財物！那時，我就可以對自己說，「你積存這麼多財產，一生享用不盡，現在大可高枕無憂、盡情地吃喝玩樂吧！」』但上帝對他說，『無知的人啊！今晚就要取走你的命！你所預備的一切留給誰享用呢？』」耶穌說：「這就是那些只顧為自己積財、在上帝面前卻不富足之人的寫照。」

在耶和華發怒的日子，他們的金銀救不了他們。祂的怒火必吞噬大地，祂必驟然毀滅一切世人。」

孩子們，你們屬於上帝，你們已經勝過了那些假先知，因為在你們裡面的聖靈比在世上運行的邪靈更有能力。

聽見的人就問：「這樣，誰能得救呢？」耶穌回答說：「對人而言，這不可能，但對上帝而言，凡事都可能。」

不要敲詐勒索，不要妄想靠偷盜發財，即使財富增多，也不要倚靠它。

財富是富人的堅城，在他幻想中是高牆。

孩子們啊，你們要遠離偶像！

耶和華啊，求你伸手救我脫離這些人，脫離這些只在今生有福分的世人。你使他們財寶無數。他們兒女眾多，還把財富留給子孫。

他們倚靠金錢、誇耀財富，卻不能救贖自己的生命，也無法向上帝付生命的贖價。

孩子們，為了你們，我像一位母親再次經歷生產的痛苦，一直到基督的生命在你們裡面成形。

「我若仰仗金子，依靠純金，因財富充裕、或家產豐足而歡喜；

祂的許多門徒聽了，就議論說：「這話實在難懂，誰能接受呢？」
