你們若順從肉體活着，必定會死；若靠着聖靈把身體的惡行處死，就必存活。

訓練我們除去不敬虔的心和世俗的情慾，在今世過克己、正直、敬虔的生活，

你擺設宴席，倒要請那貧窮的、殘疾的、瘸腿的、失明的，

他手裏拿着簸箕，要揚淨他的穀物，把麥子收在倉裏，把糠用不滅的火燒盡。」

那僕人回來，把這些事都告訴了主人。這家的主人就發怒，對僕人說：『快出去，到城裏大街小巷，領那貧窮的、殘疾的、失明的、瘸腿的來。』

有一大羣人到他那裏，帶着瘸子、盲人、肢殘的、聾啞的，和好些別的病人，都放在他腳前，他就治好了他們。於是眾人都驚訝，因為看見聾啞的說話，肢殘的痊癒，瘸子行走，盲人看見，他們就歸榮耀給以色列的神。

「你的同胞兄弟，或是你的兒女，或是你懷中的妻，或是如同自己性命的朋友，若暗中引誘你，說：『我們去事奉別神吧。』那是你和你列祖所不認識的，你四圍列國的神明，無論是離你近或離你遠，從地這邊到地那邊，你都不可附和他，也不要聽從他。你的眼不可顧惜他，不可憐憫他，也不可袒護他。

我克制己身，使它完全順服，免得我傳福音給別人，自己反而被淘汰了。

所以，你們要除去一切的惡毒，一切詭詐、假善、嫉妒，和一切毀謗的話。
