斥海、海水即涸、使諸江河枯竭、使巴珊迦密之百卉衰殘、使利巴嫩之榮華雕謝、

He rebukes the sea and dries it up; he makes all the rivers run dry. Bashan and Carmel wither and the blossoms of Lebanon fade.

He controls the seas. He dries them up. He makes all the rivers run dry. Bashan and Mount Carmel dry up. The flowers in Lebanon fade.

並且斥責紅海，海便乾了；他帶領他們經過深處，如同經過曠野。

你的斥責一發，水便奔逃；你的雷聲一發，水便奔流。

滄海看見就奔逃；約旦河也倒流。

使海與深淵的水乾涸、使海的深處變為贖民經過之路的，不是你嗎？

對深淵說：你乾了吧！我也要使你的江河乾涸。

我來的時候，為何無人等候呢？我呼喚的時候，為何無人答應呢？我的膀臂豈是縮短、不能救贖嗎？我豈無拯救之力嗎？看哪，我一斥責，海就乾了；我使江河變為曠野；其中的魚因無水腥臭，乾渴而死。我使諸天以黑暗為衣服，以麻布為遮蓋。

耶穌說：「你們這小信的人哪，為甚麼膽怯呢？」於是起來，斥責風和海，風和海就大大地平靜了。

滄海啊，你為何奔逃？約旦哪，你為何倒流？

他說：耶和華必從錫安吼叫，從耶路撒冷發聲；牧人的草場要悲哀；迦密的山頂要枯乾。

你曾分裂磐石，水便成了溪河；你使長流的江河乾了。

等到擡普天下主耶和華約櫃的祭司把腳站在約旦河水裏，約旦河的水，就是從上往下流的水，必然斷絕，立起成壘。」百姓離開帳棚要過約旦河的時候，擡約櫃的祭司乃在百姓的前頭。他們到了約旦河，腳一入水（原來約旦河水在收割的日子漲過兩岸），

海中的水必絕盡，河也消沒乾涸。江河要變臭；埃及的河水都必減少枯乾。葦子和蘆荻都必衰殘；靠尼羅河旁的草田，並沿尼羅河所種的田，都必枯乾。莊稼被風吹去，歸於無有。打魚的必哀哭。在尼羅河一切釣魚的必悲傷；在水上撒網的必都衰弱。用梳好的麻造物的和織白布的都必羞愧；國柱必被打碎，所有傭工的，心必愁煩。

要尋求那造昴星和參星，使死蔭變為晨光，使白日變為黑夜，命海水來澆在地上的－耶和華是他的名；

說：你只可到這裏，不可越過；你狂傲的浪要到此止住。

我必使江河乾涸，將地賣在惡人的手中；我必藉外邦人的手，使這地和其中所有的變為淒涼。這是我－耶和華說的。
