For many years you were patient with them. By your Spirit you warned them through your prophets. Yet they paid no attention, so you gave them into the hands of the neighboring peoples.

For many years you put up with them. By your Spirit you warned them through your prophets. In spite of that, they didn’t pay any attention. So you handed them over to the nations that were around them.

Many years you bore with them and warned them by your Spirit through your prophets. Yet they would not give ear. Therefore you gave them into the hand of the peoples of the lands.

In your love, you were patient with them for many years. You sent your Spirit, who warned them through the prophets. But still they wouldn’t listen! So once again you allowed the peoples of the land to conquer them.

You were patient with them for many years, and your Spirit warned them through your prophets, but they would not listen. Therefore, you handed them over to the surrounding peoples.

However, You remained patient with them for many years, And admonished them by Your Spirit through Your prophets, Yet they would not listen. Therefore You handed them over to the peoples of the lands.

“你们这些顽固不化、耳不听心不悔的人，经常抗拒圣灵，所作所为和你们的祖先如出一辙！

谁把雅各交给了掳掠者，使以色列任人劫掠？难道不是被我们得罪的耶和华吗？他们不肯遵行祂的道，也不听从祂的训诲。

基督的灵曾在他们心中指示他们，预言基督要受苦，然后得荣耀。他们便详细查考这些事会在什么时候、什么情况下发生。

因为预言绝非出于人的意思，都是人受了圣灵的感动，讲出上帝的信息。

还是你藐视祂深厚的慈爱、宽容和忍耐，不知道祂的慈爱是要引导你悔改吗？

“现在，我告诉你们我会怎样处理这葡萄园，我要除去篱笆，任它被毁坏；我要拆毁围墙，任它被践踏。我不再修剪，不再锄地，也不再降雨，任由它荒废，长满荆棘和蒺藜。”

祂说，‘我曾呼唤他们，他们不听；将来他们呼求我，我也不听。

耶和华实现了祂的计划，成就了祂很久以前的应许。祂毫不留情地毁灭了你，使你的仇敌幸灾乐祸，耀武扬威。

他们却叛逆，使祂的圣灵忧伤。于是，祂与他们为敌，亲自攻击他们。

你警告他们，要使他们遵守你的律法，但他们行事狂傲，不听从你的诫命，干犯你的典章。人若遵行这典章就必存活，但他们背弃你，顽固不化，不肯听从。

“然而，他们不顺从你，背叛你，把你的律法抛在背后，又杀掉劝诫他们归向你的众先知，大大亵渎了你。

耶和华借着祂的众先知和先见警告以色列人和犹大人说：“你们要离开恶道，遵守我的诫命和律例，即我吩咐你们祖先遵守并借着我的仆人——众先知传给你们的律法。”但他们充耳不闻，像他们祖先一样顽固不化，不信靠他们的上帝耶和华，拒绝遵守祂的律例和祂与他们祖先所立的约，无视祂的警告。他们随从虚无的偶像，自己也变得虚无。他们违背耶和华的命令，去效法周围的外族人。他们把他们的上帝耶和华的诫命抛诸脑后，铸造了两个金牛犊，还造了亚舍拉神像。他们祭拜巴力和天上的万象，把自己的儿女烧死献作祭物。他们占卜，行邪术，出卖自己去做耶和华视为恶的事，惹祂发怒。因此，耶和华非常愤怒，从祂面前赶走以色列人，只留下犹大一个支派。

他们祖先的上帝耶和华因为怜爱祂的子民和祂的居所，就不断派使者来劝告他们。他们却嘲弄耶和华上帝的使者，藐视祂的话，嘲笑祂的先知，以致祂的愤怒临到祂的子民身上，无可挽救。

从你们的祖先离开埃及那天起，一直到今天，我日复一日地差遣我的仆人——众先知到你们那里，

护卫长释放耶利米之前对他说：“你的上帝耶和华曾说要在这里降下灾祸，现在果然应验了。你们遭灾是因为你们得罪了耶和华，不听祂的话。

但主啊，你是有怜悯和恩典的上帝，不轻易发怒，充满慈爱，无比信实。

他们彼此意见不一。在他们散去之前，保罗说了一句话：“圣灵借以赛亚先知对你们祖先所说的话真是一点不错，

耶和华屡次差遣祂的仆人——众先知警告你们，你们却充耳不闻，毫不理会。

你们的可憎恶行令耶和华忍无可忍，以致祂使你们的土地一片荒凉，无人居住，被人咒诅，正如今天的情形。

他们在旷野漂泊的那四十年间，上帝一直照顾、容忍他们。

你差遣你良善的灵去教导他们，没有停止赐他们吗哪吃，也没有停止赐他们水喝。

主的应许还未实现，有人以为祂拖延，其实祂不是拖延，而是在宽容你们。祂不愿任何人灭亡，愿意人人悔改。
