Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honor and gave him the name above all other names,

Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name,

On his robe at his thigh was written this title: King of all kings and Lord of all lords.

Jesus came and told his disciples,“ I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth.

What we do see is Jesus, who for a little while was given a position“ a little lower than the angels”; and because he suffered death for us, he is now“ crowned with glory and honor.” Yes, by God’s grace, Jesus tasted death for everyone.

Now Christ has gone to heaven. He is seated in the place of honor next to God, and all the angels and authorities and powers accept his authority.

See, my servant will prosper; he will be highly exalted.

And they sang in a mighty chorus:“ Worthy is the Lamb who was slaughtered— to receive power and riches and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and blessing.”

that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at God’s right hand in the heavenly realms.Now he is far above any ruler or authority or power or leader or anything else— not only in this world but also in the world to come.God has put all things under the authority of Christ and has made him head over all things for the benefit of the church.And the church is his body; it is made full and complete by Christ, who fills all things everywhere with himself.

This shows that the Son is far greater than the angels, just as the name God gave him is greater than their names.

He was given authority, honor, and sovereignty over all the nations of the world, so that people of every race and nation and language would obey him. His rule is eternal— it will never end. His kingdom will never be destroyed.

The Father loves his Son and has put everything into his hands.And anyone who believes in God’s Son has eternal life. Anyone who doesn’t obey the Son will never experience eternal life but remains under God’s angry judgment.”

I will make him my firstborn son, the mightiest king on earth.

The Lord said to my Lord,“ Sit in the place of honor at my right hand until I humble your enemies, making them a footstool under your feet.”

I will give him the honors of a victorious soldier, because he exposed himself to death. He was counted among the rebels. He bore the sins of many and interceded for rebels.

After saying all these things, Jesus looked up to heaven and said,“ Father, the hour has come. Glorify your Son so he can give glory back to you.For you have given him authority over everyone. He gives eternal life to each one you have given him.And this is the way to have eternal life— to know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, the one you sent to earth.

We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne.

His government and its peace will never end. He will rule with fairness and justice from the throne of his ancestor David for all eternity. The passionate commitment of the Lord of Heaven’s Armies will make this happen!

The Lord stands at your right hand to protect you. He will strike down many kings when his anger erupts.

“ My Father has entrusted everything to me. No one truly knows the Son except the Father, and no one truly knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.”

The Lord says,“ I will rescue those who love me. I will protect those who trust in my name.

Christ died and rose again for this very purpose— to be Lord both of the living and of the dead.So why do you condemn another believer? Why do you look down on another believer? Remember, we will all stand before the judgment seat of God.For the Scriptures say,“‘ As surely as I live,’ says the Lord,‘ every knee will bend to me, and every tongue will declare allegiance to God.’”

In addition, the Father judges no one. Instead, he has given the Son absolute authority to judge,so that everyone will honor the Son, just as they honor the Father. Anyone who does not honor the Son is certainly not honoring the Father who sent him.“ I tell you the truth, those who listen to my message and believe in God who sent me have eternal life. They will never be condemned for their sins, but they have already passed from death into life.“ And I assure you that the time is coming, indeed it’s here now, when the dead will hear my voice— the voice of the Son of God. And those who listen will live.The Father has life in himself, and he has granted that same life giving power to his Son.And he has given him authority to judge everyone because he is the Son of Man.

For the Lord declares,“ I have placed my chosen king on the throne in Jerusalem, on my holy mountain.”The king proclaims the Lord’s decree:“ The Lord said to me,‘ You are my son. Today I have become your Father.Only ask, and I will give you the nations as your inheritance, the whole earth as your possession.You will break them with an iron rod and smash them like clay pots.’”Now then, you kings, act wisely! Be warned, you rulers of the earth!Serve the Lord with reverent fear, and rejoice with trembling.Submit to God’s royal son, or he will become angry, and you will be destroyed in the midst of all your activities— for his anger flares up in an instant. But what joy for all who take refuge in him!

Now, Father, bring me into the glory we shared before the world began.

“ God raised Jesus from the dead, and we are all witnesses of this.Now he is exalted to the place of highest honor in heaven, at God’s right hand. And the Father, as he had promised, gave him the Holy Spirit to pour out upon us, just as you see and hear today.For David himself never ascended into heaven, yet he said,‘ The Lord said to my Lord,“ Sit in the place of honor at my right handuntil I humble your enemies, making them a footstool under your feet.”’“ So let everyone in Israel know for certain that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, to be both Lord and Messiah!”

Then God put him in the place of honor at his right hand as Prince and Savior. He did this so the people of Israel would repent of their sins and be forgiven.

Then the seventh angel blew his trumpet, and there were loud voices shouting in heaven:“ The world has now become the Kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he will reign forever and ever.”

Those who are victorious will sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat with my Father on his throne.

when he received honor and glory from God the Father. The voice from the majestic glory of God said to him,“ This is my dearly loved Son, who brings me great joy.”

and from Jesus Christ. He is the faithful witness to these things, the first to rise from the dead, and the ruler of all the kings of the world. All glory to him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by shedding his blood for us.

Yet you made them only a little lower than God and crowned them with glory and honor.You gave them charge of everything you made, putting all things under their authority—the flocks and the herds and all the wild animals,the birds in the sky, the fish in the sea, and everything that swims the ocean currents.

“ My Father has entrusted everything to me. No one truly knows the Son except the Father, and no one truly knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.”

Your throne, O God, endures forever and ever. You rule with a scepter of justice.You love justice and hate evil. Therefore God, your God, has anointed you, pouring out the oil of joy on you more than on anyone else.

After that the end will come, when he will turn the Kingdom over to God the Father, having destroyed every ruler and authority and power.For Christ must reign until he humbles all his enemies beneath his feet.And the last enemy to be destroyed is death.For the Scriptures say,“ God has put all things under his authority.”( Of course, when it says“ all things are under his authority,” that does not include God himself, who gave Christ his authority.)

May the king’s name endure forever; may it continue as long as the sun shines. May all nations be blessed through him and bring him praise.Praise the Lord God, the God of Israel, who alone does such wonderful things.Praise his glorious name forever! Let the whole earth be filled with his glory. Amen and amen!

Christ is also the head of the church, which is his body. He is the beginning, supreme over all who rise from the dead. So he is first in everything.

Jesus knew that the Father had given him authority over everything and that he had come from God and would return to God.

He says,“ You will do more than restore the people of Israel to me. I will make you a light to the Gentiles, and you will bring my salvation to the ends of the earth.”The Lord, the Redeemer and Holy One of Israel, says to the one who is despised and rejected by the nations, to the one who is the servant of rulers:“ Kings will stand at attention when you pass by. Princes will also bow low because of the Lord, the faithful one, the Holy One of Israel, who has chosen you.”This is what the Lord says:“ At just the right time, I will respond to you. On the day of salvation I will help you. I will protect you and give you to the people as my covenant with them. Through you I will reestablish the land of Israel and assign it to its own people again.

I am suffering and in pain. Rescue me, O God, by your saving power.Then I will praise God’s name with singing, and I will honor him with thanksgiving.

“ During the reigns of those kings, the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed or conquered. It will crush all these kingdoms into nothingness, and it will stand forever.That is the meaning of the rock cut from the mountain, though not by human hands, that crushed to pieces the statue of iron, bronze, clay, silver, and gold. The great God was showing the king what will happen in the future. The dream is true, and its meaning is certain.”

And I will cause hostility between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring. He will strike your head, and you will strike his heel.”
