存心乖謬，常設惡謀，散播紛爭。

因為他們埋伏要害我命，強悍的人聚集攻擊我，耶和華啊，不是為我的過犯，也不是為我的罪愆。

他背了約，伸手攻擊與他和好的人。

圖謀惡計的心，飛奔行惡的腳，

禍哉，那些在床上圖謀罪孽、籌劃惡事的人！天一亮，他們因手中有能力就去行惡。他們看上田地就佔據，貪圖房屋便奪取；他們欺壓戶主和他的家庭，霸佔人和他的產業。

他們說：「來吧！讓我們設計謀害耶利米；因為我們有祭司講律法，有智慧人設謀略，有先知說預言，都未曾斷絕。來吧！讓我們用舌頭攻擊他，不要理他一切的話。」耶和華啊，求你留心聽我，且聽那些指控我的人的話。人豈可以惡報善呢？他們竟挖坑要害我的性命！求你記念我站在你面前為他們說好話，要使你的憤怒轉離他們。

因為他們不說平安，倒想出詭詐的言語擾害地上安靜的人。

謀惡的，豈非走入迷途？謀善的，有慈愛和誠實。

殘暴的人引誘鄰舍，領他走不好的道路。緊閉雙目的，圖謀乖謬；緊咬嘴唇的，成就惡事。
