“ The eye that mocks a father, that scorns an aged mother, will be pecked out by the ravens of the valley, will be eaten by the vultures.

“ One person makes fun of their father. Another doesn’t honor their mother when she is old. The ravens of the valley will peck out their eyes. Then the vultures will eat them.

The eye that mocks a father and scorns to obey a mother will be picked out by the ravens of the valley and eaten by the vultures.

As for the eye that ridicules a father and despises obedience to a mother, may ravens of the valley pluck it out and young vultures eat it.

Some people curse their father and do not thank their mother.

As they did this, they looked the other way so they would not see him naked.When Noah woke up from his stupor, he learned what Ham, his youngest son, had done.Then he cursed Canaan, the son of Ham:“ May Canaan be cursed! May he be the lowest of servants to his relatives.”Then Noah said,“ May the Lord, the God of Shem, be blessed, and may Canaan be his servant!May God expand the territory of Japheth! If you insult your father or mother, your light will be snuffed out in total darkness.

During the battle, Absalom happened to come upon some of David’s men. He tried to escape on his mule, but as he rode beneath the thick branches of a great tree, his hair got caught in the tree. His mule kept going and left him dangling in the air.One of David’s men saw what had happened and told Joab,“ I saw Absalom dangling from a great tree.”
