While they curse, may you bless; may those who attack me be put to shame, but may your servant rejoice.

同樣，現在你們有憂愁，但到我再見你們的時候，你們的心必歡喜，而且這份喜樂是誰也奪不去的。

他喜歡咒詛人，願咒詛臨到他；他不喜歡祝福人，願祝福遠離他。

上帝對巴蘭說：「你不可跟他們去，也不可咒詛那民族，因為那民族是蒙福的。」

所以主耶和華說：「看啊，我的僕人必有吃有喝，你們卻要饑渴交加；我的僕人必歡喜，你們卻要受羞辱；我的僕人必歡喜快樂，揚聲歌唱，你們卻要傷心欲絕，嚎啕大哭。我的選民必用你們的名字作咒詛，主耶和華必殺死你們，給祂的僕人另起名字。因此，在地上求福祉的人都必向信實的上帝祈求，在地上起誓的人都必憑信實的上帝起誓。因為過去的苦難已經被遺忘，從我眼前消失了。

我奉命祝福，祂已賜福，我不能改變。

沒有邪術能害雅各，沒有咒語可傷以色列。時候一到，人們必談論雅各，談論以色列，說，『看啊，上帝的作為何等偉大！』

王卻說：「洗魯雅的兒子啊，不要管我的事。如果是耶和華叫他來咒罵我，誰能干涉他呢？」大衛對亞比篩和他所有臣僕說：「我的親生兒子尚且要取我的命，何況這個便雅憫人呢？由他去吧！因為這是耶和華的意思。也許耶和華會體察我的困苦，因我今天所受的咒罵而賜福給我。」於是，大衛和隨從繼續趕路，示每也沿著對面的山坡邊走邊罵，向他們扔石頭，撒灰塵。

定睛仰望為我們的信心創始成終的耶穌。祂為了擺在前面的喜樂，就輕看羞辱，忍受了十字架的痛苦，如今已坐在上帝寶座的右邊。
