He says to them,“ I have placed my king on my holy mountain of Zion.”

He will call out to me, and I will answer him. I will be with him in times of trouble. I will save him and honor him.

Even before they call out to me, I will answer them. While they are still speaking, I will hear them.

Honor the Lord our God. Worship at his holy mountain. The Lord our God is holy.

This poor man called out, and the Lord heard him. He saved him out of all his troubles.

Send me your light and your faithful care. Let them lead me. Let them bring me back to your holy mountain, to the place where you live.

The Lord has chosen Zion. That’s the place where he wants to live.He has said,“ This will be my resting place for ever and ever. Here I will sit on my throne, because that’s what I want.

“ Ask, and it will be given to you. Search, and you will find. Knock, and the door will be opened to you.

Lord, have mercy on me. I call out to you all day long.Bring joy to me. Lord, I put my trust in you.

When I called out to you, you answered me. You made me strong and brave.

Then you will call out to me. You will come and pray to me. And I will listen to you.When you look for me with all your heart, you will find me.

Call out to me when trouble comes. I will save you. And you will honor me.”

Lord, I cry out to you because I’m suffering so deeply.Lord, listen to me. Pay attention to my cry for your mercy.

My God, I cry out in the daytime. But you don’t answer. I cry out at night. But you don’t let me sleep.But you rule from your throne as the Holy One. You are the God Israel praises.Our people of long ago put their trust in you. They trusted in you, and you saved them.They cried out to you and were saved. They trusted in you, and you didn’t let them down.
