The wicked draw the sword and bend the bow to bring down the poor and needy, to slay those whose ways are upright.

說：『若是我們在先祖的時代，必不和他們一同流先知的血。』這樣，你們就證明自己是殺害先知的人的子孫了。你們去充滿你們祖宗的惡貫吧！你們這些蛇啊，毒蛇的孽種啊，怎能逃脫地獄的懲罰呢？所以，我差遣先知、智慧人和文士到你們這裏來，有的你們要殺害，要釘十字架；有的你們要在會堂裏鞭打，從這城追逼到那城，

求你把我隱藏，使我脫離作惡之人的暗謀，脫離作孽之人的擾亂。他們磨舌如刀，發出苦毒的言語，好像瞄準了的箭，要在暗地裏射完全人；他們忽然射他，並不懼怕。他們彼此勉勵，設下惡計；他們商量，暗設圈套，說：「誰能看見呢？」他們圖謀奸惡：「我們完成了精密的策劃。」各人的意念心思是深沉的。

我全身的骨頭要說：「耶和華啊，誰能像你救護困苦人脫離那比他強壯的，救護困苦貧窮人脫離那搶奪他的？」

彼得清醒過來，說：「現在我真知道主差遣他的使者，救我脫離希律的手，和猶太人所期待的一切。」

用刀殺了約翰的哥哥雅各。他見猶太人喜歡這事，也去拿住彼得。那時候正是除酵節期間。

對大衛說：「你比我公義，因為你以善待我，我卻以惡待你。

先知中有哪一個不是受你們祖宗的迫害呢？他們把預先宣告那義者要來的人殺了。如今你們成了那義者的出賣者和兇手了。

我父啊，請看，看你外袍的衣角在我手中。我割下你外袍的衣角，卻沒有殺你。你知道，並且看見我沒有惡意要悖逆你。你雖然要獵取我的命，我卻沒有得罪你。

不要像該隱；他是屬那邪惡者，殺了自己的弟弟。為甚麼殺了他呢？因為自己的行為是邪惡的，而弟弟的行為是正直的。

好流人血的，恨惡完全人，正直人卻顧惜他的性命。

希律不歸榮耀給神，所以主的使者立刻擊打他，他被蟲咬，就斷了氣。

你的眼目清潔，不看邪惡，也不看奸惡，為何你卻看着人行詭詐呢？惡人吞滅比自己公義的人，為何你保持沉默呢？
