耶和華將使埃及的海灣枯乾，他在大河之上揮手發出暴熱的風，把它打破為七條溪流，使人可以穿著鞋走過去。

是我對深淵說：『乾涸吧！我也要使流入你的江河枯乾』；

我要使群山、岡陵荒廢，使其上的一切草木枯乾；我要使河流變為洲島，使池塘都枯乾。

他將管轄埃及金銀寶藏和一切珍寶；利比亞人和庫實人都將跟隨他的腳步。然而，從東方、從北方必有消息使他惶恐，他就在極大的怒火中出兵，為要把許多人滅絕淨盡。他必在兩海之間的榮美聖山上搭起他的王宮帳幕，但他的結局將要來到，沒有人幫助他。

第二個災禍過去了。看哪，第三個災禍快要來臨了。

我要把猛禽從東方召來，把成就我籌算的人從遙遠之地召來。我已經說出，就必定使之實現；我計劃了，就必定實行。

因此，看哪，主必使幼發拉底河強盛的大水，就是亞述王和他所有的威勢，上漲淹沒他們，又上漲淹沒一切水道，漫過所有的河岸；

天使又對我說：「你所看見的眾水，那淫婦所坐的地方，就是許多民族、人群、國家和語言群體。

是誰從東方興起了一人，憑公義把他召喚到腳前？是誰把列國交在他面前，讓他制伏君王們？他用刀使他們如塵土，用弓使他們像被吹散的麥稭；他追趕他們，安然經過他未曾踏足的路。

接著，我看見另一位天使，拿著永生神的封印，從東方上來。他對那些被准許傷害大地和海洋的四位天使大聲呼喊，
