You may think you can condemn such people, but you are just as bad, and you have no excuse! When you say they are wicked and should be punished, you are condemning yourself, for you who judge others do these very same things.

嗟爾蒼生、爾如責人、將無以免責；蓋爾之所責於人者、率皆躬自蹈之；是爾之責人、適足自納於罪耳。

You, therefore, have no excuse, you who pass judgment on someone else, for at whatever point you judge another, you are condemning yourself, because you who pass judgment do the same things.

But God shows his anger from heaven against all sinful, wicked people who suppress the truth by their wickedness.They know the truth about God because he has made it obvious to them.For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities— his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.

But God says to the wicked:“ Why bother reciting my decrees and pretending to obey my covenant?For you refuse my discipline and treat my words like trash.When you see thieves, you approve of them, and you spend your time with adulterers.Your mouth is filled with wickedness, and your tongue is full of lies.You sit around and slander your brother— your own mother’s son.

No, don’t say that. Who are you, a mere human being, to argue with God? Should the thing that was created say to the one who created it,“ Why have you made me like this?”

Don’t speak evil against each other, dear brothers and sisters. If you criticize and judge each other, then you are criticizing and judging God’s law. But your job is to obey the law, not to judge whether it applies to you.

How foolish! Can’t you see that faith without good deeds is useless?

“ What sorrow awaits you teachers of religious law and you Pharisees. Hypocrites! For you build tombs for the prophets your ancestors killed, and you decorate the monuments of the godly people your ancestors destroyed.Then you say,‘ If we had lived in the days of our ancestors, we would never have joined them in killing the prophets.’“ But in saying that, you testify against yourselves that you are indeed the descendants of those who murdered the prophets.

Don’t you wives realize that your husbands might be saved because of you? And don’t you husbands realize that your wives might be saved because of you?

“‘ You wicked servant!’ the king roared.‘ Your own words condemn you. If you knew that I’m a hard man who takes what isn’t mine and harvests crops I didn’t plant,

And if the Gentiles obey God’s law, won’t God declare them to be his own people?In fact, uncircumcised Gentiles who keep God’s law will condemn you Jews who are circumcised and possess God’s law but don’t obey it.
