For no one will be justified in His sight by the works of the law, because the knowledge of sin comes through the law.

蓋徒恃遵行律法、無人能稱義於天主之前；惟因法而知罪耳。

Therefore no one will be declared righteous in God’s sight by the works of the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of our sin.

So no one will be considered right with God by obeying the law. Instead, the law makes us more aware of our sin.

For by works of the law no human being will be justified in his sight, since through the law comes knowledge of sin.

For no one can ever be made right with God by doing what the law commands. The law simply shows us how sinful we are.

For no one will be justified in his sight by the works of the law, because the knowledge of sin comes through the law.

because by the works of the Law none of mankind will be justified in His sight; for through the Law comes knowledge of sin.

Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

and everyone who believes in Him is justified from everything that you could not be justified through the law of Moses.

For we conclude that a man is justified by faith apart from the works of the law.

For the law produces wrath. And where there is no law, there is no transgression.

For through the law I have died to the law, so that I might live for God. I have been crucified with Christ

Why is that? Because they did not pursue it by faith, but as if it were by works. They stumbled over the stumbling stone.

The law came along to multiply the trespass. But where sin multiplied, grace multiplied even more

For the promise to Abraham or to his descendants that he would inherit the world was not through the law, but through the righteousness that comes by faith.

For you are saved by grace through faith, and this is not from yourselves; it is God’s gift—not from works, so that no one can boast.

What should we say then? Is the law sin? Absolutely not! On the contrary, I would not have known sin if it were not for the law. For example, I would not have known what it is to covet if the law had not said, Do not covet.And sin, seizing an opportunity through the commandment, produced in me coveting of every kind. For apart from the law sin is dead.Once I was alive apart from the law, but when the commandment came, sin sprang to life

He saved us— not by works of righteousness that we had done, but according to His mercy— through the washing of regeneration and renewal by the Holy Spirit.He poured out this Spirit on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior,so that having been justified by His grace, we may become heirs with the hope of eternal life.

You who are trying to be justified by the law are alienated from Christ; you have fallen from grace.

For all who rely on the works of the law are under a curse, because it is written: Everyone who does not continue doing everything written in the book of the law is cursed.Now it is clear that no one is justified before God by the law, because the righteous will live by faith.But the law is not based on faith; instead, the one who does these things will live by them.Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, because it is written: Everyone who is hung on a tree is cursed.

Do not bring Your servant into judgment, for no one alive is righteous in Your sight.

In fact, sin was in the world before the law, but sin is not charged to a person’s account when there is no law.

Foolish man! Are you willing to learn that faith without works is useless?Wasn’t Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar?You see that faith was active together with his works, and by works, faith was perfected.So the Scripture was fulfilled that says, Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him for righteousness, and he was called God’s friend.You see that a man is justified by works and not by faith alone.And in the same way, wasn’t Rahab the prostitute also justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out by a different route?For just as the body without the spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead.

For the hearers of the law are not righteous before God, but the doers of the law will be declared righteous.

Yahweh, if You considered sins, Lord, who could stand?

If God puts no trust in His holy ones and the heavens are not pure in His sight,

But if you show favoritism, you commit sin and are convicted by the law as transgressors.For whoever keeps the entire law, yet fails in one point, is guilty of breaking it all.

How can a person be justified before God? How can one born of woman be pure?If even the moon does not shine and the stars are not pure in His sight,
