But now apart from the law the righteousness of God has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify.

But now God has shown us his saving power without the help of the law. But the Law and the Prophets tell us about this.

But now the righteousness of God has been manifested apart from the law, although the Law and the Prophets bear witness to it—

But now God has shown us a way to be made right with him without keeping the requirements of the law, as was promised in the writings of Moses and the prophets long ago.

But now, apart from the law, the righteousness of God has been revealed, attested by the Law and the Prophets.

But now apart from the Law the righteousness of God has been revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets,

But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets,

But now apart from the law a righteousness of God hath been manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;

But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;

But now apart from the law the righteousness of God( which is attested by the law and the prophets) has been disclosed–

But now apart from the law, a righteousness of God has been revealed, being testified by the law and the prophets;

All the prophets testify about Him that through His name everyone who believes in Him will receive forgiveness of sins.”

In those days Judah will be saved, and Jerusalem will dwell securely, and this is what she will be named: Yahweh Our Righteousness.

I greatly rejoice in the Lord, I exult in my God; for He has clothed me with the garments of salvation and wrapped me in a robe of righteousness, as a groom wears a turban and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.

“ The days are coming”— this is the Lord’s declaration—“ when I will raise up a Righteous Branch of David. He will reign wisely as king and administer justice and righteousness in the land.In His days Judah will be saved, and Israel will dwell securely. This is what He will be named: Yahweh Our Righteousness.

For the moth will devour them like a garment, and the worm will eat them like wool. But My righteousness will last forever, and My salvation for all generations.

For in it God’s righteousness is revealed from faith to faith, just as it is written: The righteous will live by faith.

For just as through one man’s disobedience the many were made sinners, so also through the one man’s obedience the many will be made righteous.

On the contrary, we believe we are saved through the grace of the Lord Jesus in the same way they are.”

which He promised long ago through His prophets in the Holy Scriptures—

Since the law has only a shadow of the good things to come, and not the actual form of those realities, it can never perfect the worshipers by the same sacrifices they continually offer year after year.Otherwise, wouldn’t they have stopped being offered, since the worshipers, once purified, would no longer have any consciousness of sins?But in the sacrifices there is a reminder of sins every year.For it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins.Therefore, as He was coming into the world, He said: You did not want sacrifice and offering, but You prepared a body for Me.You did not delight in whole burnt offerings and sin offerings.Then I said,“ See— it is written about Me in the volume of the scroll— I have come to do Your will, God!”After He says above, You did not want or delight in sacrifices and offerings, whole burnt offerings and sin offerings( which are offered according to the law),He then says, See, I have come to do Your will. He takes away the first to establish the second.By this will of God, we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once and for all.Every priest stands day after day ministering and offering the same sacrifices time after time, which can never take away sins.But this man, after offering one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God.He is now waiting until His enemies are made His footstool.For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are sanctified.

It will be said to Me: Righteousness and strength is only in the Lord.” All who are enraged against Him will come to Him and be put to shame.All the descendants of Israel will be justified and find glory through the Lord.

I am bringing My justice near; it is not far away, and My salvation will not delay. I will put salvation in Zion, My splendor in Israel.

and be found in Him, not having a righteousness of my own from the law, but one that is through faith in Christ— the righteousness from God based on faith.

Now the Scripture saw in advance that God would justify the Gentiles by faith and told the good news ahead of time to Abraham, saying, All the nations will be blessed through you.

For through the Spirit, by faith, we eagerly wait for the hope of righteousness.

but now revealed and made known through the prophetic Scriptures, according to the command of the eternal God to advance the obedience of faith among all nations—

Simeon Peter, a slave and an apostle of Jesus Christ: To those who have obtained a faith of equal privilege with ours through the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ.

“ The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your own brothers. You must listen to him.This is what you requested from the Lord your God at Horeb on the day of the assembly when you said,‘ Let us not continue to hear the voice of the Lord our God or see this great fire any longer, so that we will not die!’Then the Lord said to me,‘ They have spoken well.I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their brothers. I will put My words in his mouth, and he will tell them everything I command him.I will hold accountable whoever does not listen to My words that he speaks in My name.

By faith Abel offered to God a better sacrifice than Cain did. By faith he was approved as a righteous man, because God approved his gifts, and even though he is dead, he still speaks through his faith.By faith Enoch was taken away so he did not experience death, and he was not to be found because God took him away. For prior to his removal he was approved, since he had pleased God.Now without faith it is impossible to please God, for the one who draws near to Him must believe that He exists and rewards those who seek Him.By faith Noah, after he was warned about what was not yet seen and motivated by godly fear, built an ark to deliver his family. By faith he condemned the world and became an heir of the righteousness that comes by faith.By faith Abraham, when he was called, obeyed and went out to a place he was going to receive as an inheritance. He went out, not knowing where he was going.By faith he stayed as a foreigner in the land of promise, living in tents with Isaac and Jacob, coheirs of the same promise.For he was looking forward to the city that has foundations, whose architect and builder is God.By faith even Sarah herself, when she was unable to have children, received power to conceive offspring, even though she was past the age, since she considered that the One who had promised was faithful.Therefore from one man— in fact, from one as good as dead— came offspring as numerous as the stars of heaven and as innumerable as the grains of sand by the seashore.These all died in faith without having received the promises, but they saw them from a distance, greeted them, and confessed that they were foreigners and temporary residents on the earth.Now those who say such things make it clear that they are seeking a homeland.If they were thinking about where they came from, they would have had an opportunity to return.But they now desire a better place— a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared a city for them.By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac. He received the promises and he was offering his unique son,the one it had been said about, Your seed will be traced through Isaac.He considered God to be able even to raise someone from the dead, and as an illustration, he received him back.By faith Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau concerning things to come.By faith Jacob, when he was dying, blessed each of the sons of Joseph, and he worshiped, leaning on the top of his staff.By faith Joseph, as he was nearing the end of his life, mentioned the exodus of the Israelites and gave instructions concerning his bones.By faith, after Moses was born, he was hidden by his parents for three months, because they saw that the child was beautiful, and they didn’t fear the king’s edict.By faith Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughterand chose to suffer with the people of God rather than to enjoy the short-lived pleasure of sin.For he considered the reproach because of the Messiah to be greater wealth than the treasures of Egypt, since his attention was on the reward.By faith he left Egypt behind, not being afraid of the king’s anger, for Moses persevered as one who sees Him who is invisible.By faith he instituted the Passover and the sprinkling of the blood, so that the destroyer of the firstborn might not touch the Israelites.By faith they crossed the Red Sea as though they were on dry land. Time is too short for me to tell about Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, David, Samuel, and the prophets,who by faith conquered kingdoms, administered justice, obtained promises, shut the mouths of lions,quenched the raging of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, gained strength after being weak, became mighty in battle, and put foreign armies to flight.Women received their dead— they were raised to life again. Some men were tortured, not accepting release, so that they might gain a better resurrection,and others experienced mockings and scourgings, as well as bonds and imprisonment.They were stoned, they were sawed in two, they died by the sword, they wandered about in sheepskins, in goatskins, destitute, afflicted, and mistreated.The world was not worthy of them. They wandered in deserts and on mountains, hiding in caves and holes in the ground.All these were approved through their faith, but they did not receive what was promised,since God had provided something better for us, so that they would not be made perfect without us.

Seventy weeks are decreed about your people and your holy city— to bring the rebellion to an end, to put a stop to sin, to wipe away iniquity, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most holy place.

But it is from Him that you are in Christ Jesus, who became God-given wisdom for us— our righteousness, sanctification, and redemption,

Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up,so that everyone who believes in Him will have eternal life.

To this very day, I have obtained help that comes from God, and I stand and testify to both small and great, saying nothing else than what the prophets and Moses said would take place—

Because they disregarded the righteousness from God and attempted to establish their own righteousness, they have not submitted themselves to God’s righteousness.For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.

Then He told them,“ These are My words that I spoke to you while I was still with you— that everything written about Me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets, and the Psalms must be fulfilled.”

so that, just as sin reigned in death, so also grace will reign through righteousness, resulting in eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

He made the One who did not know sin to be sin for us, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

After arranging a day with him, many came to him at his lodging. From dawn to dusk he expounded and witnessed about the kingdom of God. He tried to persuade them concerning Jesus from both the Law of Moses and the Prophets.

Heaven must welcome Him until the times of the restoration of all things, which God spoke about by the mouth of His holy prophets from the beginning.Moses said: The Lord your God will raise up for you a Prophet like me from among your brothers. You must listen to Him in everything He will say to you.And everyone who will not listen to that Prophet will be completely cut off from the people.“ In addition, all the prophets who have spoken, from Samuel and those after him, have also announced these days.You are the sons of the prophets and of the covenant that God made with your ancestors, saying to Abraham, And all the families of the earth will be blessed through your offspring.

Concerning this salvation, the prophets who prophesied about the grace that would come to you searched and carefully investigated.

No weapon formed against you will succeed, and you will refute any accusation raised against you in court. This is the heritage of the Lord’s servants, and their righteousness is from Me.” This is the Lord’s declaration.

For if you believed Moses, you would believe Me, because he wrote about Me.But if you don’t believe his writings, how will you believe My words?”

What should we say then? Gentiles, who did not pursue righteousness, have obtained righteousness— namely the righteousness that comes from faith.

Philip found Nathanael and told him,“ We have found the One Moses wrote about in the Law( and so did the prophets): Jesus the son of Joseph, from Nazareth!”

Abram believed the Lord, and He credited it to him as righteousness.
