這麼說來，我們是藉著信心廢掉上帝的律法嗎？當然不是！我們反倒是鞏固律法。

這樣，我們是憑着信廢掉律法麼？斷乎不是；我們倒是叫律法立定呢。

那麼，我們是藉著信廢掉律法嗎？絕對不是！反而確立了律法。

然則我儕以信廢律乎、曰、非也、乃堅律耳、

然則以信廢法乎、曰、否、更守法焉、

然則我儕因信廢律法乎、非也、乃堅定律法、

然則吾人以信德而廢律法乎？是又不然！此正吾人所以成全律法耳。

Do we, then, nullify the law by this faith? Not at all! Rather, we uphold the law.

Does faith make the law useless? Not at all! We agree with the law.

Do we then overthrow the law by this faith? By no means! On the contrary, we uphold the law.

Well then, if we emphasize faith, does this mean that we can forget about the law? Of course not! In fact, only when we have faith do we truly fulfill the law.

Do we then nullify the Law through faith? Far from it! On the contrary, we establish the Law.

Do we then make void the law through faith? Certainly not! On the contrary, we establish the law.

Do we then make the law of none effect through faith? God forbid: nay, we establish the law.

Do we then cancel the law through faith? Absolutely not! On the contrary, we uphold the law.

Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.

Do we then nullify the law through faith? Absolutely not! Instead we uphold the law.

Do we then nullify the law through faith? May it never be! No, we establish the law.

“ Don’t think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to abolish but to fulfill.

in order that the law’s requirement would be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.

What should we say then? Is the law sin? Absolutely not! But I would not have known sin if it were not for the law. For example, I would not have known what it is to covet if the law had not said, Do not covet.And sin, seizing an opportunity through the commandment, produced in me coveting of every kind. For apart from the law sin is dead.Once I was alive apart from the law, but when the commandment came, sin sprang to life againand I died. The commandment that was meant for life resulted in death for me.For sin, seizing an opportunity through the commandment, deceived me, and through it killed me.So then, the law is holy, and the commandment is holy and just and good.Therefore, did what is good become death to me? Absolutely not! But sin, in order to be recognized as sin, was producing death in me through what is good, so that through the commandment, sin might become sinful beyond measure.For we know that the law is spiritual, but I am of the flesh, sold as a slave under sin.

I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness comes through the law, then Christ died for nothing.

Do not owe anyone anything, except to love one another, for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law.The commandments, Do not commit adultery; do not murder; do not steal; do not covet; and any other commandment, are summed up by this commandment: Love your neighbor as yourself.Love does no wrong to a neighbor. Love, therefore, is the fulfillment of the law.

It is time for the LORD to act, for they have violated your instruction.

If those who are of the law are heirs, faith is made empty and the promise nullified,

My point is this: The law, which came 430 years later, does not invalidate a covenant previously established by God and thus cancel the promise.For if the inheritance is based on the law, it is no longer based on the promise; but God has graciously given it to Abraham through the promise.Why, then, was the law given? It was added for the sake of transgressions until the Seed to whom the promise was made would come. The law was put into effect through angels by means of a mediator.

To those who are without the law, like one without the law— though I am not without God’s law but under the law of Christ— to win those without the law.

For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes,

For in my inner self I delight in God’s law,

The Holy Spirit also testifies to us about this. For after he says:This is the covenant I will make with them after those days, the Lord says, I will put my laws on their hearts and write them on their minds,

Because of his righteousness, the LORD was pleased to magnify his instruction and make it glorious.

For I tell you, unless your righteousness surpasses that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never get into the kingdom of heaven.

Absolutely not! Let God be true, even though everyone is a liar, as it is written: That you may be justified in your words and triumph when you judge.

Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, with my mind I myself am serving the law of God, but with my flesh, the law of sin.

“ How can you claim,‘ We are wise; the law of the LORD is with us’? In fact, the lying pen of scribes has produced falsehood.The wise will be put to shame; they will be dismayed and snared. They have rejected the word of the LORD, so what wisdom do they really have?

I delight to do your will, my God, and your instruction is deep within me.”

Indeed, if you fulfill the royal law prescribed in the Scripture, Love your neighbor as yourself, you are doing well.If, however, you show favoritism, you commit sin and are convicted by the law as transgressors.For whoever keeps the entire law, and yet stumbles at one point, is guilty of breaking it all.For he who said, Do not commit adultery, also said, Do not murder. So if you do not commit adultery, but you murder, you are a lawbreaker.Speak and act as those who are to be judged by the law of freedom.

But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.Now the works of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, moral impurity, promiscuity,idolatry, sorcery, hatreds, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambitions, dissensions, factions,envy, drunkenness, carousing, and anything similar. I am warning you about these things— as I warned you before— that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,gentleness, and self-control. The law is not against such things.

“ Instead, this is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after those days”— the LORD’s declaration.“ I will put my teaching within them and write it on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people.No longer will one teach his neighbor or his brother, saying,‘ Know the LORD,’ for they will all know me, from the least to the greatest of them”— this is the LORD’s declaration.“ For I will forgive their iniquity and never again remember their sin.
