在洁净的人，凡物都洁净；在污秽不信的人，什么都不洁净，连心地和天良也都污秽了。

由潔者視之、凡物皆潔；若由不潔不信者視之、則萬物皆污、實則其心地自不淨耳。

To the pure, all things are pure, but to those who are corrupted and do not believe, nothing is pure. In fact, both their minds and consciences are corrupted.

我知道並靠著主耶穌深信，沒有什麼是不潔淨的。但若有人以為某物不潔淨，那物對他來說就不潔淨。

不可因食物的問題而破壞上帝的工作。所有的食物固然都是潔淨的，但人若因所吃的食物絆倒別人，就有罪了。

凡事我都可以做，但並非事事都有益處；凡事我都可以行，但並非事事都造就人。

禁止人結婚和吃某些食物。其實那些食物是上帝創造的，為了讓相信並且明白真理的人存感恩的心領受。上帝所造的一切都是美好的，若以感恩的心去領受，就無需任何禁忌，

人如果心裡疑惑，卻仍然吃，就有罪了，因為他不是憑信心吃。凡不憑信心去做的，就是犯罪。

凡事我都可以做，但並非事事都有益處；凡事我都可以做，但我不受任何事的轄制。食物是為了肚腹，肚腹也是為了食物，但將來上帝要把這兩樣都廢棄。身體不是用來行淫的，而是為了主，主也是為了身體。

主對他說：「你們法利賽人洗淨杯盤的外面，你們裡面卻充滿了貪婪和邪惡。愚蠢的人啊，人裡外不都是上帝所創造的嗎？只要你們發自內心地去施捨，一切對你們都是潔淨的。

可是，從口中出來的乃是發自內心，會使人污穢。

所以，你們或吃或喝，無論做什麼，都要為上帝的榮耀而做。

那聲音又一次對他說：「上帝已經潔淨的，你不可再稱之為不潔淨。」

不過，並不是所有的人都有這種知識。有些人因為以前拜慣了偶像，現在吃到某些食物就覺得是祭過偶像的，因而良心不安，覺得自己被玷污了。

巿場上賣的肉，你們都可以吃，不必為良心的緣故而詢問什麼，

哈該又說：「如果因碰過屍體而變得不潔淨的人接觸這些食物，這些食物會變得不潔淨嗎？」祭司答道：「會變得不潔淨。」

更何況基督藉著永恆的靈把自己毫無瑕疵地獻給上帝呢？祂的血豈不更能洗淨我們的良心，使我們脫離導致滅亡的行為，以便事奉永活的上帝嗎？

祂潔淨了我們被罪困擾的良心，用清水洗淨了我們的身體。因此，我們要信心十足、真誠地到上帝面前。

使那些思想敗壞、失去真理的人爭論不休，甚至把敬虔當作生財之道。

「你要對境內的民眾和祭司說，『七十年來，你們在五月和七月禁食、哀傷，難道真的是為了我嗎？你們吃喝，難道不是為自己吃、為自己喝嗎？

高傲的眼，狂妄的心，惡人的燈，都是罪惡。

因此，無論是誰，若以不正確的心態吃主的餅、喝主的杯，就是得罪主的身體和主的血。所以，人要先自我省察，才可以吃這餅喝這杯。因為守聖餐的時候，若有人隨便吃喝，忘記了這是主的身體，他就是自招審判。
