I left you on the island of Crete. I did this because there were some things that hadn’t been finished. I wanted you to put them in order. I also wanted you to appoint elders in every town. I told you how to do it.

一連多日船速十分緩慢，好不容易才駛近革尼土。因為強風船無法前行，只好沿著克里特背風岸航行，經過撒摩尼角。

我去馬其頓的時候，曾經勸你繼續留在以弗所，好命令那幾個人不要傳講異端邪說，

以前你在許多見證人面前聽過我的教導，你要把這些教導傳給忠信可靠、能夠教導他人的人。

他們捐完後，委託巴拿巴和掃羅將款項送交耶路撒冷教會的長老。

誰能與我相比？讓他告訴我。自從我設立這古老的民族以來所發生的事和將要發生的事，讓他告訴我。

克里特人和阿拉伯人。我們都聽見他們在用我們各自的語言訴說上帝的偉大！」

這時大家已經多日沒有進食，保羅站在他們當中說：「各位當初如果肯聽我勸，不離開克里特，就不會遭受這些損失了。

他們按班次在會幕供職，一直到所羅門在耶路撒冷建造了耶和華的殿。

現在，我人雖不在你們那裡，心卻和你們在一起，看到你們生活井然有序，對基督堅信不移，我很喜樂。

傳道者不但有智慧，還把知識傳授給眾人。他經過細心推敲和研究之後，編寫了許多警世的箴言。

但無論做什麼事，都要按規矩，有次序。
