祂來傳揚這平安的福音給你們這些離上帝很遠的外族人，也給我們這些離上帝很近的以色列人。

無論到哪一戶人家，要先說，『願祝福臨到這家！』如果那裡有配得祝福的人，祝福自然會臨到那人，否則祝福仍歸給你們。

這一切都是上帝的作為，祂藉著基督使我們與祂和好，又把勸人與祂和好的職分賜給了我們。也就是說，上帝在基督裡使世人與自己和好，不再追究他們的過犯。祂已託付我們去傳揚這和好之道。所以我們現在是基督的大使，可以說上帝正藉著我們發出呼求。我們替基督懇求你們：要與上帝和好！上帝使無罪的基督擔當我們的罪，使我們可以藉著基督成為被上帝接納的義人。身為上帝的同工，我們勸你們不要辜負祂的恩典。

使他們開口讚美。願遠近各方的人都得到平安！我要醫治他們。這是耶和華說的。

上帝藉著萬物的主宰——耶穌基督把平安的福音傳給以色列人。

我必剷除以法蓮的戰車，剷除耶路撒冷的戰馬，戰弓必被折斷。祂必向列國宣告和平，祂必統治四海之疆，從幼發拉底河直到地極。

婦人說：「古時候人們常說，『有事到亞比拉去請教，問題都會解決。』我們這座城的人在以色列素來熱愛和平、忠心耿耿，你卻要毀滅這座大城。你為什麼要吞掉耶和華的產業？」約押答道：「我根本不想吞掉或毀滅這城。以法蓮山區比基利的兒子示巴背叛大衛王，你們只要把他交出來，我就撤退。」那婦人說：「我們一定把他的首級從城上拋下來給你。」婦人把自己的良策告訴眾人，他們便把比基利的兒子示巴的頭割下來，拋給約押。約押就吹響號角令軍隊各自回家，自己回耶路撒冷見王。
