Then Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel and Joshua son of Jozadak set to work to rebuild the house of God in Jerusalem. And the prophets of God were with them, supporting them.

Zerubbabel, the son of Shealtiel, began to work. So did Joshua, the son of Jozadak. They began to rebuild the house of God in Jerusalem. The prophets of God were right there with them. They were helping them.

Then Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel and Jeshua the son of Jozadak arose and began to rebuild the house of God that is in Jerusalem, and the prophets of God were with them, supporting them.

Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel and Jeshua son of Jehozadak responded by starting again to rebuild the Temple of God in Jerusalem. And the prophets of God were with them and helped them.

Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel and Jeshua son of Jozadak began to rebuild God’s house in Jerusalem. The prophets of God were with them, helping them.

then Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel and Jeshua the son of Jozadak rose up and began to rebuild the house of God which is in Jerusalem; and the prophets of God were with them, supporting them.

Then rose up Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Jeshua the son of Jozadak, and began to build the house of God which[ is] at Jerusalem: and with them[ were] the prophets of God helping them.

Then Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel and Jeshua the son of Jozadak began to rebuild the temple of God in Jerusalem. The prophets of God were with them, supporting them.

Then Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Jeshua the son of Jozadak rose up and began to build God’s house which is at Jerusalem; and with them were the prophets of God, helping them.

約薩撻子耶書亞及其同宗、咸為祭司、暨撒拉鐵子所羅把伯、及其同宗、築以色列族上帝之壇、燔祭於上、遵上帝僕摩西之律例、

猶大長老、聽先知哈基、易多孫撒加利亞、感神之言、遂建殿宇、無不亨通、遵以色列族上帝、及巴西王古列、大利烏、亞達泄西之命、迨竣厥工。

使者示我以象、見祭司長約書亞、侍於耶和華天使前、撒但立於右以禦之、耶和華告撒但曰、我耶和華必責爾撒但、我耶和華以耶路撒冷民為悅、故必責爾、斯人得救、若脫於火、約書亞衣服塵垢、立於天使前、主告左右曰、解其污裳、又曰、我宥爾愆尤、衣爾明衣、

設鐵子所羅把伯、約撒答子祭司長約書亞、及諸遺民、遵其上帝耶和華所使先知哈基傳命之言而敬畏耶和華。耶和華之使哈基、遂以耶和華之命、傳之民云、耶和華曰、我必眷佑爾眾、於是耶和華感設鐵子猶大方伯所羅把伯、約撒答子、祭司長約書亞、及諸遺民之心、咸至萬有之主上帝耶和華之殿、大興工作、此大利烏王二年六月二十四日事也。

是月之二十四日、耶和華又諭哈基云、當告猶大方伯、所羅把伯云、我將震動天地、顛倒國位、隳其能力、維車維馬、與乘駕之人、我俱毀之、使民各以鋒刃相擊、萬有之主耶和華告其僕設鐵子所羅把伯曰、我必簡爾、以爾為印、蓋爾見悅乎我、萬有之主耶和華已言之矣。

吾非督責爾信、乃鼓舞爾樂、蓋爾必以信而立焉、

耶和華論所羅把伯、云萬有之主耶和華曰、非以能力、乃以我神、在所羅把伯前、孰為之敵、雖若巨山、將成平壤、主曳首石至、人必歡呼云、願主以恩恩之、耶和華告我曰、所羅把伯築此殿之基、彼必竣其工、使爾知萬有之主耶和華、遣我涖臨爾境、

取金銀作冠、使約撒答子祭司長約書亞戴焉。

萬有之主耶和華曰、所羅把伯必強乃志、約撒答子、祭司長約書亞必壯乃心、斯土之民、必黽勉以操作、蓋我耶和華眷佑爾眾、昔爾出埃及、我與爾約、迄於今、我之神尚牖爾衷、故勿畏葸。萬有之主耶和華曰、當延片晷、我將震動天地、撼搖山海、亦將鼓盪列邦、列邦之企慕者將至、我將以榮光充盈殿宇、萬有之主耶和華已言之矣。又曰、金銀屬我、又曰、後建之殿、榮光燭照、較先建之殿、尤為朗耀、我必錫平康於斯、萬有之主耶和華已言之矣。
