而穿上了新造的人，按創造他者的像漸被更新、以至於有真認識的。

而穿上新人，那依上帝之聖質形像而被創造的新人，創造於真實中之正義和虔聖的。

永恆主上帝說：『看哪，那人既像我們中間的一個、曉得分別善惡；現在恐怕他伸出手來、也摘取生命樹的果子喫，就永遠活着。』

人算甚麼，你竟記掛着他？世人算甚麼，你竟眷顧他？你卻使他稍微小於諸天神，又將光榮尊貴做冠冕給他戴上。你派他管理你手所造的，使萬物都服於他腳下：使一切的羊和牛，以及田野的獸，空中的鳥和海裏的魚，凡經行海道的，都服於他腳下。

我們眾人、臉上既是揭去了帕子，就如同鏡子返照主的榮光，都變了形質，成為同一的像，榮上加榮，正是從主、就是靈、變化成的。

要曉得永恆主才是上帝；是他造了我們；我們屬於他；我們是他的子民、他牧養的羊。

我們用舌頭祝頌那為主為父的，又用舌頭咒詛那依上帝之形相而受造的人。

以下是亞當的後代的記錄。當上帝創造人的日子，他是按着自己的樣式造他的：

地上的各樣走獸、空中的各樣飛鳥、以至於爬在地上的各樣動物和海裏各種魚、都要懼你們怕你們：牠們都是交在你們手中的。一切活的動物、都可以做你們的食物，正如我將菜蔬的青葉子都給了你們一樣。惟獨帶生命的肉，就是帶血的肉，你們卻不可喫。

他是人不能見的上帝之像，是首生者超越一切被創造者；

如今呢、永恆主啊，你、仍是我們的父；我們是摶泥，你、乃是窰匠；我們都是你手所塑造的作品。

男人既是上帝的像和榮耀，他就不該蒙着頭；女人呢、只是反射男人的榮耀，所以該蒙着頭。

乃是有人在某處鄭重地明證說：『人是甚麼，你竟顧念他？人類是甚麼，你竟眷顧他？你叫他暫時比天使小，就用榮耀尊貴給他做華冠，叫萬有都順服在他腳下。』既說「叫萬有都順服於他」，就沒有剩下一樣不順服於他了。其實呢、我們還沒有見着萬有都順服於人呢。我們只看見那被派為暫時比天使小的耶穌；因受了死的苦，就接受榮耀尊貴做華冠給戴上，好叫他、因着上帝的恩、替萬人嘗了嘗死。

在他們、今世的神已把不信之人的心意弄瞎了，以致基督（上帝的像）榮耀之福音之光照不能發曉於他們心裏。

『使人流血的、人也必使他流血；因為上帝造人、是按上帝自己的形像造的。

看哪，只有這一件我查出了：上帝造人原是正直的，但人卻想法子製作許多巧設的事物來。

耶穌回答他說：『人若愛我，就必遵守我的話；我父必愛他，我們也必來找他，將他做我們的住處。

願以色列因造他的主而歡喜；願錫安的子民因他們的王而快樂。

因為「我們生活、行動、存在、都在於他」；就如你們自己的詩人也有的說：「我們也是他的族類。」那麼我們既是上帝的族類，就不該以神性為彷彿金銀或石頭、人的手藝和心思所雕刻的。

你安排黑暗，便有了夜，森林中的百獸就爬出來。少壯獅子吼叫着、要抓撕可喫的，向上帝尋求着食物。日頭一出，獸便躲避，偃臥於洞窟中。人出去作工，勞勞碌碌到晚上。永恆主啊，你所造的何其多呀！它們都是你用智慧造成的；大地滿了你所造之物。

各類走獸飛鳥、昆蟲水族、都是可以控制到馴服的，也已經被人類控制到馴服了。

他從一本造了萬國的人住在全地上，又立定安排好了的時期和他們居處的疆界，

來，我們下去，就在那裏使他們的口音混亂，不曉得聽彼此的口音。』

現在呢、是我將這些都交給我僕人巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒的手；田野間的走獸呢、我也給他、供他使用。

我聽見主的聲音說：『我可以差遣誰呢？誰肯為我們去呢？』我說：『我在這裏，請差遣我。』

因為你必同田間的石頭立約；田裏的野獸也跟你和好。

耶穌就回答他們說：『我父作工直到現在，我也作工。』

卻沒有人說：「造我的上帝在哪裏？他使人夜裏唱詩，

你把一些令人奇怪的事傳到我們耳中；因此我們想要知道這些事是甚麼意思。』（
